With the Angels
"Hermione!" yelled Ron through the crowd of people in the common room. Then
Ron spotted Harry and shoved his way through the people. "Have you seen
Herm'?" asked Ron in a concerned tone.

"No. Why?" Asked Harry.

"I can't find her anywhere!" exclaimed Ron. "Parvati, have you seen Hermione?"

"Yeah," replied Parvati "she's sick."

"What?!" Said Harry and Ron in unison.

"She said that she felt really sick."

"But Hermione hasn't ever been sick since the day we met her!" Said Ron,
wanting a better explanation.

"Yeah." Agreed Harry. "I wonder what's wrong."

"Parvati, could you let us into the girls dormitory to see her?" Asked Ron
sounding very worried.

In the girls dormitory the boys were astounded at how awful Hermione looked.
She was very pale and looked extremely homely. Both Ron and Harry gasped at
the sight of her. "Herm', what's wrong?" Asked Ron sounding really worried.

"I feel really cold and I have an awful headache." Said Hermione weakly.

"You should go down to the hospital wing." Implied Harry in a rather worried tone.
"Come on Ron we should go get madam Pompfrey.

Once the boys found madam Pompfrey they told her exactly what Hermione had
told them. She bustled out of the infirmary as fast as she could to go see what
was wrong with Hermione.

Once back in the girl's dormitory madam Pompfrey looked Hermione over and
pronounced that she must stay in the hospital wing until she felt better. "Do you
know what's wrong with me?" asked Hermione in a barely audible voice.

"No, not yet." Replied a rather scared sounding madam Pompfrey. In and instant
she summoned a stretcher and whisked Hermione off o the hospital wing.

That night the boys and Ginny went to visit Hermione in the hospital wing. Once
they arrived they saw that she was writing a letter and was looking very worried.
"Hey Herm'." Said Ron trying to be a cheerful as he could.

"Hi." Replied Hermione in a very hoarse voice that wasn't her own. "Did I miss
anything important in my classes?"

"No." said Ron. "Just the usual old boring stuff. Snape gave us an extremely long
assignment. We have to write down the recipe for a sleeping potion and a truth
potion. He said that if it's not at least 4 pieces of parchment long then we've
missed something."

"Ohhhhhhhhh." Groaned Hermione. "How I whish I wasn't sick. Shouldn't you
guys be working the assignment then?"

"No, we have all weekend." Replied Ron. "How have you been feeling?"

"I feel like someone is shaking my head constantly and I can't do anything about
it. Madam Pompfrey said that I'm running a fever and I have to stay here at least
until next Wednesday."

"Sorry I couldn't stay longer but I have to go work on that assignment for potions.
Bye." Said Harry as he left the infirmary.

"Yeah I think I should go start my work too. I'll be lucky if I get done by Sunday
night if I start it this second." Said Ginny trying to make an excuse to be alone
with Harry.

"Those two are going to be together in no time. I can't believe they haven't
realized how crazy they are about each other." Said Ron trying to make
conversation.

"Yeah I know." Replied Hermione. "Ron, there's something that I have to tell
you."

"What is it? You know you can tell me anything."

"Well 2 years ago while we were on vacation after our 2nd year I was diagnosed
with cancer."
