The wind was rustling the trees as she ran. Her breath was coming in short bursts from her mouth. Swear clung to her brow, but the woman didn't stop for anything. Nothing was as important as the bundle she was holding tightly in her arms. The frightened woman turned her head to the darkness behind, her frightened blue eyes searching the shadows. Though her legs never stopped running.
Soon enough she reached her destination an old abandoned ruin. Though it still had an air of elegance and power around it. The woman immediately entered the ruin before kneeling down. Her entire body was trembling with fear for her little bundle. Finally she felt a presence in front of her and with caution she lifted her head. The woman looked at the beautiful wolf with extraordinary chocolate red fur and eyes as silver as mist. The woman saw that the wolf was looking at her with confusion, until she saw the small bundle in the woman's arms.
"Who is that my child?" the she wolf asked in a curious tone. The wolf bowed her head to get a better look at the bundle.
"He's my son Lupa, and I need your help," the woman said in a desperate tone. One that caused Lupa to frown.
"What do you need my help with my child?" the wolf asked tilting her head to the side. The woman immediately felt pain flare in heart at the request she was about to make. Though as she looked down at the bundle in her arms, she knew she was making the right choice.
"I need you to care for my son as if he were your own. I need you to raise him to become a strong warrior and to become all that he was meant to be. Can you do that for me Lupa?" the woman asked in desperation. The wolf goddess felt shock well in her, and she was about to deny the request. When she finally caught side of the baby inside the bundle. She stared into his sea green eyes and immediately felt something warm inside of her and she knew wouldn't be able to say no.
"Of course my child I will try my best, but why can't you?" Lupa asked as she gently put the bundle onto her back.
"Because my grandfather is coming and I cannot have him take my son. I'd rather die than let my grandfather take a hold of him. He is close, I will lead him away from here and hopefully he takes the bait," the woman said staring tearfully at the bundle. Heartbreak a prominent expression on her face. "I will see you again my Percy, that I promise you." Sally Jackson said with agony in her voice and across her face. Though before Lupa could react Sally was pressing a kiss to her son's forehead and then she was gone. Disappearing into the night like a ghost.
Lupa felt her heart fill with sadness before she turned to look at the baby boy on her back. He was fast asleep never to know what had just occurred. Lupa as gently as she could licked the baby's forehead gently. Feeling her heart warm when the baby smiled in his sleep. Before she turned back to the forest where Sally had disappeared into.
"I promise you Sally I will take care of Perseus and helpfully one day you can meet again."
With that being said Lupa made her way back to her den. Unaware of scarlet red eyes watching her from the forest.

I'm sorry for all the misspelled/missing words.
