Disclaimer: If my plan to take over the BBC works, i'll get back to you. Until then, nope.

A/N: Oh hello there, Self Insertion. Nice to see you again...

A teenage girl was sitting outside a cafe, reading when something
across the street caught her eye.

She peered at it for a moment, then grinned and threw down her book.

"Excuse me?"
She tapped the tall skinny man in the blue suit on his shoulder.

"I'm a really big fan, I even have the shoes and everything, see!"
She stuck out her foot, showing a battered pair of red Chucks. "And I
saw you from across the street, could I just take a picture really
quick, and maybe have an autograph?"

He looked a bit baffled. "Alright then.."
"Thank you! I promise I won't take up any more of your time!"
Grinning, she pulled out a small camera and took a picture, looking
wondorously up at him the whole time. Then she rummaged around in her
pocket and pulled out a scrap of paper.

"Here, I've got a pen." the skinny man rummaged in his coat pocket for
a minute, then pulled out a robotic-looking pen. He scribbled
something on the scrap of paper and handed it back to her. She stuffed
it in her pocket and hugged him quickly. "Bye! Thank you! I can't
belive I actually got to meet you!"

As she ran back to her table, a blonde girl walked up to the man.

"Shopping's all done. Who was that?" Rose asked

"It seems that I have a fan"
The Doctor replied, looking pleased with himself.

"You have a fan?"
Rose said incredoulously as the Doctor pawed through the bags.

"And why is that such a suprise? I go round traversing the galaxy for
intergalactic-"

"Doctor, have you been watching Starkid again?"

"My point is, that it shouldn't be such a big shock. Frankly Rose,
it's insulting."

"Well, if you get a fan, I should too. Come on, we better go before
someone hides the TARDIS again." Rose hoisted the bags up and they
headed off.

Elsewhere, the girl unfolded the scrap.

I like the shoes.
-Doctor

She looked at it in disbelief as the sound of grinding metal rang
briefly through the street.

Ah, if only.
