Spencer didn't know what was happening. Ever since she moved to L.A. her world had turned upside down. The boys were cute, but seemed odd to Spencer some how they acted towards her, she didn't quite like the attention anymore. The girls were really bitchy, and thought they were better than her, except for Ashley, the only friend she had made since coming to the city of angles. Ashley was great, different, beautiful, intelligent and independent, but she also, as Spencer just found out, was not like most girls. Instead of chasing after guys and spending her school hours flirting with the schools quarterback, she was more into the cheerleaders surrounding the hottest guys.

Spencer was a little freaked out at first when she first discovered the truth about Ashley, but soon realized that she was a good friend, regardless of who she liked to be with. Spencer had a little thing with Aiden, but realized that she just was not into him, the way she was with someone else, but no she couldn't be, there was no way. She had tried to avoid Ashley for a few days, but the minute Ashley asked her to spend the night at her house, her defenses melted and she had to say yes. Against her mothers will, Spencer packed her overnight bag and headed over to Ashley's house.

"Hey Ash, I'm here!" Spencer yelled as she entered the huge house and climbed the stairs to Ashley's bedroom.

"Hey," Ashley winked at Spencer as she opened the door revealing her lace black bra, "Sorry I'm just getting changed for our night of fun."

"Oh that's ok." Spencer replied a little surprised, she had trouble getting her words out, and felt her face getting red.

"So I don't know about you, but I just need a night to relax, and be with my best friend. Can we just watch a movie and chill and talk afterwards?" She asked.

"Yeah that's totally fine, sounds fun." Spencer was excited to spend the night alone with Ashley even if it did kill her to be so close.

The two watched a seemingly good movie that took a turn when the main character started kissing her best friend. Spencer shifted awkwardly in her seat and was suddenly very aware of her proximity to Ashley. She sat in an uncomfortable position as far apart from Ashley on the bed as she could. It ended and Ashley turned to Spencer, "What did you think?" she asked.

"It was um good." Spencer replied.

"Is something wrong? You seem a little awkward and jumpy today. Are you in love after your first date?"

"No, Aiden is great, I just don't like him like that."

"Oh no? Why not?" She asked.

"I might like someone else." Spencer replied, then immediately questioned if she should have said that.

"Really? Anyone I know?"

"I… I, don't know."

"I think I do." Ashley smiled coyly at her friend, and started to lean in.

"No, don't I, I'm not… I can't be."

"But you like me?" Ashley knew the answer.

"Yes, but…"

"But nothing, it's ok Spence, I promise you will be fine, I am here for you, you'll like it just trust me and let go."

"Umm…" Spencer paused for a long time, "ok." She finally said. Ashley leaned in very slowly not wanting to scare Spencer. She lightly touched her lips to Spencer's and could hear her gasp. She pulled away, but Spencer grabbed her head and pulled her in as close as she could, and realized why boys no longer interested her, she liked girls, and one, very much in particular.
