Confusion

Author's note: Another story cranked out by the author at work! You can't have too many made-up characters! Mark has a "let me know" copyright just like the one on the Fann Girls, so take advantage of it if you so desire!

Remember when reviewing: If you like it, say so. If you hate it, say so. If you REALLY hate it, you can still say so, I won't get mad.

Chapter 1: On Your Mark...

Mark lives in a house at 142 Maple Drive. He loves Sonic the Hedgehog so much that he does everything to look like his idol. He's even practiced some of Sonic's moves.
He's done well at this, from a spiked haircut dyed blue to a shirt that's tan in the front and blue in the back to laceless red-and-white sneakers. And this is the cause of a rather confusing event one day...
The whole thing began as Mark snapped Sonic Adventure into his Segaª Dreamcast and turned it on. He grabbed his transparent blue controller and began playing.
Mark paused at the character select screen and looked at the mirror behind the TV set. Mark compared himself to Sonic on the TV screen and adjusted his hair a little.
Afterwards, Mark hit the A button and began playing. Just as Mark had made Sonic enter the Station Square train station, a flash of light came from the TV.
When Mark recovered from the flash, he looked around. This definitely wasn't Mark's bedroom. This was the inside of the Station Square train station.
Realizing where he was, Mark dashed up the stairs and hopped on the train to the Mystic Ruins. During the ride, Mark pondered how he ended up here in the first place.
Mark checked his arm, and it had a shirt sleeve. Mark was still himself, he realized, but something still puzzled him: if Mark was here, then where was Sonic?
You guessed it: Sonic was in Mark's bedroom. It wasn't long before he realized that he was definitely NOT in Station Square, let alone the train station.
The first thing that ticked Sonic off was the Sonic Adventure poster on the wall. "That's... me?" Sonic thought. Then he looked around a little more.
On a table Sonic saw a picture of Mark. Examining it, Sonic realized the similarities between Mark and himself. This was a little confusing for Sonic.
However, the icing on the cake was the Segaª Dreamcast. On the TV screen was the Mystic Ruins, but with Mark running through it. Seeing this, Sonic passed out on Mark's bed.
Meanwhile, Mark had approached the entrance to Windy Valley. In an effort to take advantage of the situation, Mark had decided to try out one of the Action Stages.

The confusion hasn't come yet, but given what you know about how Mark dresses up to look so much like Sonic, you can bet it will come in Chapter 2! Later!

One last thing: If you hate the pun in the chapter's title, get used to it because I'm going to make similar puns for the other chapter titles.
