He inhaled the scent of earth and bones, mixed with the sweet smell of flowers.
So many memories, thought Inuyasha. Memories of time before I knew betrayal, before my heart was scared forever.
Hanyou understood, that things will newer go back to the way tray used to be, but he would rather hold on to the memory then have nothing at all. What he did was wrong, but he couldn't bring himself to care – it felt so right at the moment.
Inuyasha felt the pang of guilt deep within his soul. He was being cruel to Kagome – the first one to open her heart to him, the first one to accept him the way he was, the firs one to show him the true meaning of friendship and trust.
And now he was betraying the very trust she held in him. Would she understand him? Would she understand, that not to be here right now would be denying the part of his personality?
Yes, he thought sadly. She would understand. She would stand by my side forever as a lower or a friend, through good times and bad. She would always forgive me. She did not deserve this.
A single tear made its way down his cheek as the dog demon continued burying bones in Kagome's favorite flower bed.
A. n.: Got this idea from my cat. She often tends to do something wrong, while looking at me with a very guilty expression, which however does not prevent her activities.
