This was just an idea I had. Frozen is my favorite movie and I have over 200 stories. (No joke I actually keep track. I started when I was 12 in 2014) I'll post as much as I can! Reviews are nice and if you have any ideas for me let me know!

Anna was standing in the doorway of Elsa's study. The door was always wide open and now she wondered why. She never had to knock, which was strange. Anna had gotten so used to it, she never stopped to think about why her sister's room or study was always welcoming to her.

Elsa finally looked up and noticed her little sister. "Hello, love," she greeted.

"Hi, sis," Anna replied.

"Is there something you need?"

Anna shook her head. "No, no it's just...I miss you."

Elsa smiled. "I miss you too. You look lost, Anna. Something you want to tell me?"

"I don't know, honestly," Anna shrugged. "I just realized something. That's all. Can I tell you?"

"Of course you can. What is it?" Elsa asked.

"Well, ever since the Great Thaw, I never had to knock or ask to come in," Anna explained. "Everywhere you are, the door is open."

"It took you long enough to notice," Elsa chuckled. "I do that because I don't want you to knock anymore."

Tears welled up in Anna's eyes. Blinking hard, she whispered, "You mean your door is always open?"

"Always," Elsa replied. "Even though I'm busy, my door to this room is always open to you. Have you ever noticed that?"

Anna shook her head. "Not really. But I noticed it was closed once. Was it because you were upset?"

Elsa's smile faltered. "That was a mistake of mine. You're always welcome to come in, even if it's closed."

"So it will never be locked?" Anna asked.

Elsa shook her head. "No more knocking, love. There's not a day that will go by where you'll find it locked. It's always open to you."

Anna wiped her eyes. "Oh, Elsa..."

"Do you need a hug?" Elsa asked motherly.

"A tissue wouldn't hurt either," Anna chuckled, sniffling. Elsa reached for a tissue from her desk and strode over to Anna.

As soon as Anna took the tissue from Elsa, she threw her arms around her. "Thank you," she whispered.

Elsa held Anna tightly, stroking her back. "You're welcome, Anna. I love you so much."

"I love you too."

They stayed like that for a long time, not wanting to let go. Elsa wasn't thinking about the work on her desk. In fact, she wasn't even thinking at all. Laced with emotions, all she could do was hold her sister close.

As for Anna, the explanation was simple. Her knocking days were over. She knew, after today, she would never have to ask Elsa to build a snowman again.

The answer would always be yes.
