A/N: This was just a little thing that popped into my head one day.
Disclaimer: Nothing, I repeat nothing, belongs to me. Except Miss Silvermoon and who ever wants her can have her. Sirius, Remus and James belong to J.K. Rowling.
Five-year-old James Potter walked into school. He looked around and fixed his eyes on two boys laughing at something. He toddled up to them and poked one in the back. Immediately, the black-haired boy spun around, then grinned, two of his teeth missing. 'Hi James!' The brown-haired boy looked at him and echoed the greeting. 'Hi Siwius, Wemus. What's going on?' he pointed to a whole bunch of little kids, crowding around their teacher. 'Good question. I'll go and find out.' replied Sirius importantly and walked up to the group. A few minutes later, he came rushing up to the two boys. 'We are going on an outing!!!!' he shouted. Their teacher came over to them and said: 'Now now boys, indoor voices. Either that or all of you get silencing charms.' 'Yes Miss Silvermoon.' chorused the boys, snickering.
The small group of boys snuck through the trees, occasionally bursting into fits of giggles, as only five-year-old boys would. Their outing had taken them to Hogsmead, the only town completely void of muggles. They had managed to sneak away from their group and found themselves inside a forest. Now, they were happily walking along, until Sirius decided he'd heard something. James and Remus looked at each other. The last time Sirius had 'heard something', they had found his older sister making out with her boyfriend and had been banned from her room. They sighed and followed Sirius who had disappeared behind a clump of bushes. They followed him for a couple more minutes until they bashed into his back. 'Ow! Sirius, what you stop for?' grumbled James, and then saw exactly why Sirius had stopped. Standing in front of them, teeth bared, was a werewolf.
The three boys stood rooted to the spot. Then, James and Sirius spun around and hurtled back to the group. shouting and screaming. Remus stood unable to move. His eyes were fixed on the wolf. He barely heard the group arrive behind him.
The 5F class of Prinston Nursery school gasped as they saw the wolf lunge for Remus and sink it's teeth into the five-year-old.

After Remus was bitten, his parents decided to move away to a place in Wales. His two friends blamed themselves for what happened, but Remus tried to convince them it wasn't their fault before he left. Unfortunately, he didn't manage and Sirius and James spent the next six years living with the guilt, until the time came for them to go to Hogwarts...

Two boys hurtled into the almost-empty compartment, hardly able to breath because they were laughing so much. After they had regained the ability to draw in oxygen, they noticed a brown-haired boy looking at them curiously. Sirius burst into another laughing fit while James tried to tell the boy that they were, infact, sane. Amber eyes looked at Sirius doubtfully. James shook his head and wacked his best friend, which seemed to get his attention. Sirius grinned at the boy who looked just about ready to jump out the window, anything to get away from his 'sanity'. (Or lack thereof) 'I'm James Potter and that, unbelievably, is Sirius.' The boy stared at them for about ten minutes and they were just starting to get freaked out when the boy grinned and said:
'Hey. I'm Remus. Remus Lupin.'
