Authors note: this is a quick free-verse poem showing Roses changing feelings for Scorpius. This is the first poem I've written in AGES so sorry if it's not quite up to scratch! I absolutely LOVE Scorpius and Rose together and I normally like to think of Scorpius as shy and sensitive... but in this I've made him more the stereotypical slytherin PLEASE, PLEASE REVIEW!
Intelligence
Intelligence.
Intelligence is key,
Key to happiness and key to fortune.
She must remember that.
Remember and not forget,
As he smirks and sneers
Teases and taunts.
Names which sting,
Unfallen tears that sting more.
But emotion is irrelevant
Intelligence is key,
She must remember that.
Nerd, know-it-all, ginger,
Daughter of mud-blood,
She must remember,
Idiot, ugly, weasel,
Intelligence is key,
Intelligence makes her head girl,
Fate makes him head boy,
Forced to be with the bully.
But when alone his words soften
Remain the same but jest not stab,
A smile in the corridor,
A joke in the common room,
Maybe he's not so bad.
Maybe she could like him…
She does not like him,
She cannot not like him,
Or can she?
No. he is a Malfoy
Arrogant, rude, selfish
Funny, kind, attractive,
But it is not meant to be.
Heart skips every time she sees him
But she must remember,
Intelligence is key,
And emotion – irrelevant.
But is it?
Happiness is all she wants,
And isn't happiness emotion?
He takes her hand,
Feels the same,
A smile.
A kiss.
Emotion.
Emotion is key,
Key to happiness and key to fortune.
I hope you thought it was OK... I know I've already said but PLEASE REVIEW!
