Me: Yo! Merry X-Mas!
Cari: I was wondering...why do people call it X-mas? I mean, if you put two more X's you get-
Me: Ok! That's enough Cari. Anyways, if any of you have read Anything For You, which is one of my other fics, you'll notice it's exactly the same as this one. Well that's because i just copied and pasted it in. I also changed somethings to make it like Xiaolin Showdown. I was going to do this a while back, but then I forgot, until now...so yeah! On with the show!
"Unbelievable! I had to get sick today of all days!" Kimiko groaned into her pillow.
"Raimundo finally asks me out, and I have to get a cold! Why does this stuff happen to me?" Kim pushed herself up and sighed.
When they had first arrived at the temple, Kimiko hadn't given Rai the time of day, and he didn't seem to be interested in her, either. After a while, though, she started noticing things about Rai that she hadn't noticed before. Like the cute way he always spiked his hair, or the way he always gave everything 110 percent, even if he did complain about it. She had recently been debating over whether to ask him out or not, when he suddenly walked up to her and asked her if she wanted to go out with him. Well of course she said yes, and now here she was, on the evening of her fabulous date with Raimundo, and she had a cold. Kim walked over to her window and looked out. When she saw Clay walking past, she got an idea. She opened the window and leaned out.
"Hey Clay!" Kimiko waved from her window. Clay looked up from his bag of chips and saw Kim waving to him.
"Hey Kimiko! What's up?" he asked.
"Can you do me a huge favor? Tell Rai that I won't be able to meet him tonight because I'm sick." Kimiko called out before starting a coughing fit.
"I didn't know you were meeting Rai! Are you guys going on a date?" he asked.
"Yes! Now, please just go tell him!" Kim yelled between coughs.
"Alright, alright! I'm going! Jeez!" Clay muttered as he walked to Raimundo's room.
Raimundo was going over his date with Kim tonight when he heard the knock on the door.
"Coming!" he yelled. He opened the door to find Clay standing there.
"Hey Clay. You need something?" he asked, leaning against the doorframe.
"Hey Raimundo. Kimiko wanted me to tell you that she can't meet you tonight because she's sick. You should have seen her coughing earlier, I thought she was choking on something." Clay shook his head.
"Really? Well, thanks Clay. See ya." Rai said.
"Bye Rai." Clay responded before walking away.
Rai, meanwhile, had closed the door and was leaning against the door, thinking.
'So she's sick huh? Well, I guess I'm gonna have to improvise.'
That evening, Kim lay sprawled on her bed, surrounded by mountains of tissues and cough drops.
"Ugh, what if he never asks me out again?" she asked herself, shuddering at the thought. Suddenly, she heard a tap on her window. Confused, she got up and opened the window to find Raimundo sitting on the ledge, balancing a huge picnic basket on his lap.
"Can I come in?" he asked. When she nodded, still speechless, he climbed in her window and set the picnic basket on the floor.
"Clay told me you were sick, and I didn't want all this food to go to waste, so I thought I would bring our date to you." he said, shrugging his shouders. So it surprised him when Kimiko threw her arms around him in a hug.
"Thank you Rai. This is the nicest thing anyone's done for me." Kim said, tears shining in her eyes. Raimundo hesitated, then wrapped his arms around her waist.
"You're welcome, Kim. You know I'd do anything for you."
Me: Yes, I know that was super corny and that this is super short, but its still good. Review please!
