Home
Dawn broke, colouring the sky behind him in hues of orange, yellow and purple, warming his back as he rode towards his destination. Around him, wild-life awoke and with the first few rays of sunshine fog seemed to flee away only to come forth when night would fall again. There was no place where dawn was any more beautiful than it was in Imladris and to Legolas it felt as if he was coming home. Home where his heart lay.
He had been greeted by servants for it was still early morning and most of the residents were still taken by sleep. Yet he had not minded and simply asked for a bed to sleep in. Riding overnight had exhausted him and the moment his head was laid down onto his pillow, he slept.
He roused, blinking his eyes against the light before deciding to keep them close to bask in the sunlight that filtered inside the room through the windows for a few more minutes. After that he would dress himself and search for the one elf he had left his home for.
Suddenly a low chuckle reached his ears and his eyes shot open again. He sat up within a blink, a familiar warmth spreading inside of him. His hands gripped the sheets that had fallen down his chest in excitement and a grin broke onto his face.
The elf that sat with his back to the fireplace watched him with an amused expression yet Legolas caught the love and happiness that shone brightly in hazel eyes.
Their eyes caught and it was within seconds that Legolas found himself pushed back down onto the soft bed again, a hungry mouth devouring him and hands slipping into his hair gently, pulling him closer to the delicious body atop of him.
He returned the kiss, his own hands grasping strong shoulders and he closed his eyes in bliss. The lips that pressed against his own, the tongue that teasingly slid between his parted lips and the hand that combed through his long, golden hair as if he were about to break. This was perfect.
When they broke apart he allowed his fingers to trace a pale cheek. "Elrond." He murmured, a happy smile gracing his lips.
The Master of Imladris grinned and leaned forward to peck his lover's cheek. "I missed you. By the Valar, Legolas, please tell me you are here to stay. I could not bear to say goodbye to you another time."
The blond prince hummed happily, rolling onto his side and with a sensual smile appearing on his lips beckoned for his love to lie down beside him.
He was immediately drawn into Elrond's arms, his own resting against muscular hips and his head resting against the other's chest. "I spoke with father." The prince began. "To say he was amused would be lying yet he was happy for me."
He pulled back slightly and raised a hand to cup Elrond's cheek. "I am here to stay, my love. Only the end of the world could make me leave you."
When he was pressed down onto the mattress again he yelped but was silenced effectively when those heavenly lips were back on his own.
It would be hours before the Lord of Imladris attended his duties again yet from the ridiculous grin that played his lips everyone knew. Legolas was home.
The End
