It was a calm, pleasant day. I was taking a stroll in the woods with one of my best friends, Theo the Lycanroc. We were very close, like brothers, and indeed I saw him as one. We must have been an odd pair, a Midday form Lycanroc and an Absol with black zigzag markings. But we were in the forest for a reason. We hoped to meet the Goddess of the North Wind herself: Suicune. While I simply wanted the honor of meeting her, and perhaps touch her mane, my brother was in love with the Legendary, and that was fine. I knew that his heart was as pure as the waters that Suicune travels on.

It was early afternoon, when we stopped to eat lunch in a large clearing with a river running through it. I took off the pack I wore, and pulled out our lunch, sandwiches and berries. It was simple, but it sated us. "Is Suicune really in the forest, Michael?" Theo asked me after we ate. "I believe so, Theo. The lake deep inside of it would be perfect for Suicune to visit due to its purity." I answered, turning my head west, the direction of said lake, and our destination. I put my pack back on, and we set out towards the lake. A short time later, we reached another large clearing by the lakeshore, but all was quiet, except for a gentle breeze. "That's odd… Even this deep in, we should be able to hear bird Pokemon at the least." I remarked to my brother, who nodded. "I don't understand it, brother." Theo told me, and I shrugged. Perhaps this was a sign that she was here. I lay down on the soft ground, stretching my body out. Theo copied me a couple feet away, and I smiled before closing my eyes.

I woke to the wind blowing through my fur, and I opened my eyes, which then widened. Watching over both of us was the ocean blue Pokemon we wanted to meet. "L-Lady Suicune!" I stammered, getting up and then bowing respectfully. Theo was awoken by my voice, and he was as awestruck as I was. Suicune smiled softly at us. "I know of your wishes, Michael and Theo. And because of your pure and kind hearts, I have come." Her voice was like a soft breeze blowing over a calm pond, gentle and musical. I looked over at Theo and spoke first. "My lady, it's an honor to be in your presence." Suicune shook her head. "Please, no need to be formal." I blinked, but nodded. "May I please touch your mane, Suicune?" Suicune smiled again, and laid down, so I could do so. I approached her calmly, and laid a paw on her purple mane. It felt so soft, like nothing I have ever felt, and it was cool, like morning dew. I smiled back, and pulled my paw away. "Thank you, so much." I said, backing away. "You're welcome, Michael." She replied, her ribbon-tails fluttering softly as she stood up, and padded over to Theo, who visibly blushed. Suicune said nothing, but instead gently nuzzled his cheek. This caused Theo to blush even more, but he returned the action. I smiled softly. "Suicune, may I be with you?" Theo asked, causing Suicune to blush a little as well, but she nodded. "Yes, Theo. It would be an honor for me to be the beloved of a reign." Theo smiled broadly, then kissed Suicune's cheek. "Thank you, Suicune, thank you from the bottom of my heart." Suicune smiled back, and placed a ribbon on Theo's shoulder.

I walked over to my brother, and nuzzled him as well. "Stay safe and happy, Theo, my brother." He nuzzled me back and nodded. "You as well, Michael, my brother." I smiled again, then turned and walked away, leaving the new mates to themselves. When I turned back a moment later, they were gone, as if on the wind. I chuckled, and started running, feeling the breeze run through my fur. I will see them again one day, I know. And I will always remember this meeting, with the Goddess of the North Wind.
