Sometimes he felt like she was there with him, even when he was alone in his room sitting in front of the computer. Her could hear her laugh as she stood over his right shoulder, watching him play Call of Duty, he could feel her hair brush against his face as she leaned down and took control of the keyboard. But it was always his imagination, every time he turned around to get another look at her, she would suddenly disappear, and he would be left with only faint memories of the girl that he once shared a life with. So then, he started to focus on the feelings, and not turn around, to capture the moments that seemed lost forever.
Sometimes she felt like she'd done the wrong thing, felt like it was leaving behind a life and starting up a whole new one in a different world. Without him, everything was seen from a different perspective. The basketball court next to the corner shop lost its meaning. It no longer was a place she'd go to daily to meet him, it was simply square ground of cement. Without him the world seemed so much more different, she began to look at things in a new way as well, started up going to club activities to fill her time in and take her mind of things. Despite it all, she hadn't felt this good in years.
