The old Victorian house has clearly been neglected. Any wood along the outside is worn with years of water residue rotting it, the brick is dull and could use a power wash, and wood stairs leading up to the door were beginning to fall and break. It hurt to see the house look like this. Her eyes settled on the door. Its green painted wood is beginning to chip away after years of inviting visitors inside. While attempting to push back memories, she stepped forward and knocked three times. Minutes went by before the door swung open.

"Long time no see little sister. I should've guessed you'd be here today."

"Cut the crap Jonathon. I haven't gotten any sleep for days." His hand went to his face, wiping away fake tears and making whining noises.

"Come on Clary. I tried to convince you not to drive that tiny piece of- well you know what I mean. You drove from Seattle to New York on your own terms. I am just happy you made it," he mentions. "It's good to know that your attitude hasn't disappeared since the last time I saw you. I'm curious if it has rubbed off on Izzy, who should be here. Where is she?"

"Don't fret my dear brother. She is only a few miles away. She has family here too you know. By the way, why am I still standing here? Invite me in like a normal human."

He opened the door further, making room for Clary to duck under his arm. The inside is beautiful. It has been completely updated from top to bottom. The walls are a light blue with walnut floors accenting it. All the furniture was either a grey or white color. By the looks of it, Jonathan clearly wanted to keep his presence on the quiet side of things with the appearance of the outside but couldn't give up a high-quality living.

"I love what you've done with the place. Everything looks so... new." She walked around into the kitchen. The home looked almost completely unrecognizable. He put a lot of work into the house. "So, you're okay with me staying here for a while," she asked, turning back to Jon. She didn't want to move back but living as an artist wasn't keep her head above water with her bills. Seattle was her dream home. She felt that the city held so much character and personality. Her art work just wasn't a hit. Then when the opportunity introduced itself to come back here, she couldn't turn it down. It's just till I get back on my feet.

"Yeah… I know that you always loved the older style like mom, but I needed my normal living back after moving from the city," bouncing onto the couch and kicking his feet up. She sits down next to him, kick her shoes off, and lays her feet across his lap. "I didn't mean to take away from any memories we had here when we were younger. Besides," he says leaning back, "The women love it," finishing off with a wink.

"Ew. Don't wink at me, you horn dog," kicking her feet at him. "It's okay looking. I'm sure Izzy would love to throw a few parties here while she's in town. So, should I show myself to my room or what?"

"Follow me."gbh
