AUTHOR'S NOTE: I made a post in my LiveJournal, offering to write drabbles on request. This is one of the resulting ficlets. In this case, Zlot asked for a story about Elrond and, well, anybody who isn't related to him. Heheh.

"Today one of your sons asked if I am sharing your bed," Glorfindel said calmly, not looking up from the arrow he was fletching.

Caught completely off-guard, Elrond made a peculiar choking sound and managed to irrevocably blot a delicate transcription. "And...you said..."

A shrug, an unreadable glance through golden mane. "I told him the truth. That I am not, and that I am beginning to despair of your ability to comprehend hints."

Very carefully, the master of Rivendell set aside his quill. "Perhaps," he retorted, "you should stop hinting, and simply ask."

"Hmm. Will begging suffice?"

"Admirably. For now."
