The chirping birds are what woke me up like always that morning. Bucking off my bed of clouds and rolled onto my hooves, bouncing up a bit after hitting the floor. The nice thing about a Pegasus homes were that they were constructed completely out of clouds. With a bounce in my step I trotted over to the window, grabbing bird seeds, and as always, I shook them out the window. Jumping onto the window ledge I watched as the birds rushed about and swooped downed to feed on the breakfast I happily fed them. It didn't matter where I was, I loved feeding the local birds. As the last bird finished I bounced back out around my bed and out my door.

I smiled to myself. It seemed RainbowDash, had gotten up early to clear the skies. It was nice, I don't usually don't stay in Ponyville. In fact I think its somewhere in between CloudsDale and Ponyville, but either way. The Wonderbolts yearly tour was over, and me and the rest of the gang were off for about a month. Lucky for me I had this temporary home to live in for my time off.

I trotted over to the miniature pond in my little floating cloud. Taking a few gulps of the clean collected rain water before glancing in to my own reflection. My fiery orange mane looked a little ruffled, and with a quick tense, kind of of like a sneeze, my flaming mane burst into another heap of fire, laced with an electric charge. Getting it spiked in the way I love it.. Almost.. Stretching out my wings, I raced around for a quick fly.

Landing back into my fluffy home, and glanced back at my reflection. My mane was swept backwards thanks to the wind.

"They don't call me Spitfire for nothing!" I grinned. "Well I don't really spit fire.. Hmmm.."

I decided I needed to work on talking to myself and made my way back inside, I started to dig through my bag. I never packed much, but at the very top of the suite case was one of my favourite items, besides my Wonderbolts uniform of course, my framed picture of me and Soarin, flying through the clouds together as young filly's. I placed the photo beside my bed and decided to head down to Ponyville for lunch, since there wasn't much to eat up in the sky.

I wasn't much for flaunting my status around, but I grabbed my goggles, just because they make my fly that much easier.

"I should get that uniform sewn up tomorrow" I thought out loud again as I jumped into the air, flapping my wings into the direction of Ponyville. Stretching my wings each morning gave me an overwhelming sense of joy… kind of like… Soarin does... I shook my head. He was just a friend, and no more than a close friend... A co-worker, even. No, not just a co-worker, he was more special to me than that... Maybe it was because we got accepted into the Wonderbolts at the same time. He is a talented kid, plus he's a couple years younger than me.
