Chapter 1
Lily awoke with a start. She looked at the clock, 2:00 AM!!! Who set that? Petunia. At least she could get away from her at Hogwarts. She suddenly exclaimed as the thought drifted back into her mind once again, I'm a senior!! 7th year was going to be a blast!!!!! I can't wait!! She grabbed her trunk out of her closet and double and triple checked to make sure she had everything she would need. Once she was satisfied, she decided that she was far too excited to go back to sleep, so she got out her transfiguration text book and began to read the book, for the fourth time. By breakfast time, she was just turning the last page.
After a hearty breakfast, her father drove her and her mother to King's Cross Station. Much to both girl's protests, Petunia was brought along too. Standing near to the entrance to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, she prepared to say goodbye. She didn't like saying goodbye to her parents. It was a sad time, but she promised to owl. Petunia on the other hand, well..."Bye Petunia, wilt by next summer please," Her sister glared with fiery eyes at her. She turned and pushed her trolley through the barrier of Platforms Nine and Ten, got onto the train, and went off in search of James.
James was currently waiting in the last compartment of the train for her with the rest of the marauders, Sirius, Remus, and Peter. They were just talking about how good their chances for the cup were this year when a certain redhead popped in and looked around, she spotted James and rushed into his arms. He planted a great big one on her as her petite body sat comfortably on his lap.
"Get a room why don't you?" Sirius joked.
James glared. He turned his attention back to Lily.
"I missed you over the summer." he told her.
"I missed you more!" she teased.
"No, I did!" he teased back.
Lily was about the say more when Sirius said, "No, I did!" in a high falsetto voice before cracking up with Peter. That shut the lovebirds up. Remus merely smiled and returned to his book, the Chronicles of Narnia. He especially favored the White Witch, evil as she was, she was the most interesting character and it surprised him how wrong the writer was about witches and wizards. He chuckled, unnoticed as Sirius was still laughing at the time. Hysterics not out of place.
The train slowed to a stop and everyone got off and headed for the carriages. Lily and James got in and motioned to close the door behind them, but Sirius grabbed the door before it slammed shut and said," Now, you didn't think we were going to leave you two alone, did you? Who knows what you could do to each other in there?" Lily smacked Sirius around the head.
James looked at Lily and told her, "You know, he's got a point," and kissed her. She looked surprised and a little embarrassed; though the look on her face showed she was quite pleased. Peter rolled his eyes and looked out the window, as Lily and James didn't stop; Peter was soon joined by Remus and Sirius looking at that ever-so-exciting view out the window.
