I OWN NOTHING
"This is all your fault you know" Jess muttered in Jules' general direction. The three of them were lying in a sweaty heap on Joe's bed.
"Her fault? How is this her fault?" he protested. "I want some credit for suggesting we stay in and have a movie date instead of going out like we usually do. If we had, you'd be at your own places by now, we'd all be alone, and none of us would be satisfied."
"It is her fault." Jess repeated.
"Yes, ok, but how?" Jules asked, finally finding the will to speak.
"You're the one who came up to me in the park. My sister's friends asked about the gori girl long before they knew anything about a goreh guy. If you hadn't I'd be at law school right now instead of spending my Christmas break being losing my virginity to a girl and a boy and trying to figure out how to tell my family I'm in a relationship at all."
"Reasonable answer." Joe acknowledged after they had all processed that for a moment. "But let's face it, you're glad she did."
"I am." Jess replied as Jules giggled. "What?"
"Care to be reminded why?" Jules questioned.
"Couldn't hurt." Jess answered. And they were gone again.
