*Under repairs

Summary: It wasn't her fault that her mom died. It wasn't her fault that her step brother would always touch her. It wasn't her fault that she was always depressed. And he knew that. Didn't keep him from loving her.

Chapter 1: How It Came To Be

She didn't want to enter the house. This house was quite literally her hell. The constant nightmares of the past and the constant future abuse plagued her mind every minute of every day. But, what other choice did she have?

Her name is Kagome; a senior in high school with pale skin, brown eyes and long black hair that goes down to her back. She stood on the porch, staring at the door, contemplating on opening it or turning back and going somewhere less painful.

But that was the dilemma, she had no other place to go.

No friends, no family, God had a rotten sense of humor, bestowing her with a life full of hate.

"Let's get this over with." Kagome said to herself before finally opening the door. The sudden stench of filth filled her nostrils. Inside were empty bottles of liquor and trash in corners of the living room. She didn't even want to know what the kitchen looked like. Been a while since this place has been cleaned. But, anything to get away from those two. She carefully closed the door, trying desperately not to make any kind of notion that she was there. As quickly as possible, she made her way to the stairs. Before she could even take one step, something grabbed arm harshly, throwing her back on the floor.

"And where have you been?" Kagome looked up at the person to see who it was. It was Naraku, her 'oh so loving' step brother. He was a tall man with extremely pale skin and black hair longer than Kagome's. His eyes were red, which made him look threatening. Even though he was young, he looked worn out; not to mention his face looked permanently evil. He watched her, leaning against the wall, a bottle in his hand.

"Weren't you supposed to be out with Onigumo?" She asked, referring to his father. Naraku shrugged.

"Didn't feel like it." He polished the bottle before discarding it on the floor. "Doesn't answer my question though. Where have you been? It's almost 10." She glared at him, not liking the fact that he was interrogating her.

"Why do you care? I haven't been home." He looked at her darkly, making her crawl farther away from him. She kept going until her back hit the front door.

"I'm tired of your smart ass comments." Before he go to close, Kagome picked up a bottle from the floor and threw it at his face. Naraku let out a howl of pain, as he fell to his knees. Ceasing the opportunity, Kagome leaped over him and ran for upstairs. He tried to grab her when went past him but she slipped away.

"Come here you little whore!"

She fled down the hall and into her room. Since he was a half demon, surely he would recover quickly. As soon as she made it to her room, she locked the door. Her heart raced ferociously. She didn't mean to throw the bottle. She just didn't want him to hurt her and she did it out of instinct. But, it was too late for apologies at this point; she fucked up.

Big time.

Kagome's fear returned when she saw the door knob start to jiggle.

"Open the door." He said calmly. She was starting to panic. Perhaps she could fight. Ya and look how fucking well that turned out. "I know you hear me, open the fucking door." She looked out the window. Maybe she could run. She sucked her teeth. No way would that do any good because he could easily catch her. And, once again, where would she go? "Don't make me break the door down."

A few tears fell from her eyes. There was nothing to do but wait for the inevitable. Kagome wrapped her arms around herself. Her life wasn't always like this.

She use to have a mother named Akemi, meaning "bright beauty." She also use to have a father named was Kiyoshi, meaning pure. Her parents fell in love with each other like most then got married and had her. It was a normal marriage and a normal family. However, things soon changed for the worst.

One Christmas, after struggling with brain cancer, her father passed. Kagome was 7 at the time, clearly too young to understand what cancer was. Both parents knew about the situation years before his passing. They were told he had months to live however he managed to live on for another couple of years. This was joyous because they thought that maybe the cancer was now dormant, and he could live a while longer. But, the cancer resurfaced. Kiyoshi handed his daughter a present, a kitten, before collapsing.

Merry Christmas

Kagome understood that things wouldn't be the same anymore. She once went from a happy child to a depressed one. To help with the depression, she took up art. She was young, so she wasn't any good, but it soon gave her comfort and made her relax a bit more. Not to mention she was still thankful that she still had her mother.

Although Kagome was getting better, her mother was slowly losing her mind. Sleepless nights, crying for her husband to return to her. The pleas were never heard, making the pain worse. Akemi never once took at her pain on Kagome, nor did she wish to cry in front of her. She tried to remain a good mom and put on a pleasant smile for her daughter. But Kagome could still hear her throughout the night making her sad as well. Occasionally, Kagome would slip into bed with her, to try to calm her down. Akemi would wrap her arms around her, and kiss her, also thankful she still had Kagome.

Then he entered the picture.

Kagome was about nine when her mother introduced this so called "replacement father," Mr. Onigumo Kurosawa. It was said that Akemi bumped into him at work a few times before he asked her out on a date. She didn't want to think of her mother as weak, but rather desperate for love that she couldn't give her. Mr. Onigumo was an odd looking man. His hair was long sloppy, and he had this evil glare that said, 'turn your back on me and I might eat you.' She was intimidated by him and didn't like him as a person let alone a new father.

The first couple of times he dropped by she tried her best to ignore him as much as possible. Akemi didn't like this because she wanted her daughter to approve of the relationship. Even with her trying to convince Kagome that he was a good man, she wasn't buying it. And the more he came around, the angrier she got.

It wasn't until a couple months after their meeting when he popped the big question to her mom. Of course she said yes, and why wouldn't she? Onigumo was giving her false promises of love. At least that's what Kagome saw it as. In her eyes, no one could love her mother more than her father. But, now her mother was moving on. In any case, Onigumo was disposable. She'd share the house with him, but that didn't mean she had to like him. What she wasn't counting on was that she'd be getting a new brother as well.

A couple days after the proposal, is when she met Naraku. He was a couple years older than her, and looked just like his father. Only difference is, his eyes are a blood red and that Naraku was a half demon. She had nothing against half demons, but the fact that one was going to be her brother, kind of made her feel uncomfortable.

When the parents introduced them, Naraku gave her a look of interest. This gave Kagome an uneasy feeling being that she was still a kid and he was at least in high school. She had a bad feeling about this new life that was being forced on her but decided to just suck it up and get over it. It wasn't long before the two adults were married. Even after the marriage, Kagome didn't really interact with her new family. She mostly avoided them at all cost and stayed in her room. It wasn't a great life, but it was tolerable.

Years went by, and everything was…okay. Then one day, when Kagome was 13 she came out of her room to go down stairs. While walking, she couldn't help but notice the weird sounds coming from Naraku's room. Being a nosy girl, she went to have a peak. Curiosity was instantly regretted when she saw that her 'brother' was watching porn. And it wasn't normal porn, it was more like raping porn. Kagome was disgusted, and now scared of this little fun fact she found out about him. Regardless, she ignored it and went down stairs; as if she saw nothing.

Hours past, she was done cleaning the living and dining room so she went to do the dishes. Her mom would be getting back soon, no point of her starting dinner with a messy kitchen. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't even realize someone was watching her until she turned around. Seeing Naraku's face almost made her drop the dish.

"What do you want?" Kagome asked, rather rudely.

"Is that any way to talk to your older brother?"

"Whatever." She went back to doing the dishes, but couldn't really focus with him staring at her. "You got something to say?" She asked getting impatient.

"I know you saw me in my room." Her eyes widened. She forgot for a split second that he wasn't a half demon and probably sensed her.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about."

"Yeah sure you don't." Naraku started to walk towards her. Kagome tried her best to keep her cool.

"Well if you knew I was home, why didn't you close your door?" She asked, slamming the dishwasher closed.

"I wanted you to see." She looked confused.

"Excuse me?" He was dangerously close to her, and he was looking at her as if she was pray.

"Just a little taste of what's in store for you."

"W-what-" Before Kagome could finish, he grabbed the collar of her shirt, pulling her closer to him.

"I've waited long enough for you to open your legs and now your gonna do it." She couldn't believe what she was hearing. No wonder she got a bad vibe from him in the beginning, he was crazy.

"Are you serious," She managed to push him off of her, backing farther away from him. But, that only made him walk closer to her. "I'm your sister, and I'm a kid. Aren't you like 17?"

"Oh, I'm very serious, bitch." She wasn't too happy about that name, but that was the first of many. "You're no sister of mine. And you're 13. It's about time you felt a man." Kagome shook in fear as she continued walking away from him.

"I'm telling my mom and Onigumo." He laughed.

"Go ahead. He's been playing your mother for years, is he really gonna care? You know he can't stand you."

"Good, cause I can't stand you bastards either." She didn't use words like that, but she was so mad she couldn't think straight. Suddenly, he was on her in a second, pinning her arms to the floor.

"Never, talk about my father bitch." In an instant, he had her shirt off and was working on her pants. Kagome's struggling was in vain; he was stronger than her. She screamed but being that the house was on a hill, none of the neighbors would hear her. What seemed like hours of torture, soon came to an end when Akemi stepped into the house. She was appalled at the sight she saw. Her baby was being sexually assaulted, by her step brother no less.

"What the hell do you think you're doing, Naraku?" She shouted, running over and pushing him off of her.

"What does it look like?" She slapped him then held a crying Kagome, helping her to her room.

"I'm sorry. I'm so very sorry. I should've known."

"No mom, it's not your fault. I didn't know either."

"Kagome, I promise, I'll make it up to you. He won't ever hurt you again. Now you put some clothes on okay. I love you baby."

"I love you too, mom." She kissed her, before she left the room, locking it. Unbeknownst to Kagome, those would be the last words her mother spoke to her.

Kagome was overjoyed, hearing her mother practically curse the two out. The way Onigumo sounded, he didn't seemed fazed one bit. He was sticking up for his son, acting as if Kagome was leading him on. He was just as crazy as Naraku. How could a child lead on a grown man? Though she couldn't be happier, that uneasy feeling within Kagome started to resurface.

"I want a divorce." Kagome heard her mother say.

"WHAT!" Onigumo reaction had her laughing. "Bitch you can't leave me!"

"Oh yes I can. In fact, the cops can escort you out. This thing is going to jail after touching my daughter." Perhaps their life will be better. Onigumo will be gone, and Naraku will be locked up. They'll be able to on each other.

"I don't think so." Suddenly, her laughter died down when she heard her mother scream than silence. I opened the door slightly.

"Mom..." She called out. No answer. "MOM!" No answer. Her heart sped up. This was not happening to her. Kagome ran down the hall and looked downstairs, viewing a sight that made her blood run cold. At the bottom of the steps was her mom, with multiple stab wounds. She screamed and ran to her, trying to stop the bleeding. Akemi stared at her daughter, coughing up blood a few times before her life slipped. Kagome held her mom close to her, crying hysterically. This was a nightmare, this wasn't supposed to happen. She went in her pocket and grabbed her phone. Before she could dial 9-11, the phone was suddenly snatched from her.

"Oh dear, you went a spoiled the surprise." Kagome looked up to see Onigumo, the murder weapon in his hand.

"You didn't have to. You didn't have to!" He grabbed her by the hair, throwing her away from Akemi's lifeless body.

"And just what were you going to do with this?" Onigumo teased, looking at the phone before slamming it against the wall; shattering it into a million pieces. "Well, can't use it now." She went for the door when Naraku came out of nowhere holding her down. Onigumo walked up to her slowly, the knife tracing down her shirt. "I'm gonna say this once, so listen carefully. Tell anyone and you die. Understand?"

"O-okay. Okay…" Kagome didn't want to betray her mother, but what choice did she have. She feared death, and this was no way for her to die. He then turned to Naraku.

"Well now that that's over, looks like you have a new play thing." Kagome was confused. What did he mean by a play thing? "I'll clean up, you two have fun." Before she could grasp the concept of what he meant, Naraku dragged her up the stairs. That was the day she lost her mom, her innocence, and her hope.

Kagome's thoughts were interrupted with several bangs to the door.

"Okay bitch, I'm getting tired of this!" Now, she was seventeen, living in hell for four years. Not only does she run from him at home, but at school. True, he graduated, but he was a student teacher. People think he's smart and handsome so of course students would bend over backwards for him and disregard everything she said. She has no friends, because people love the guy. Why, God I don't know. She thought. Instead, she's the 'crazy one'. He goes around telling students and teachers lies about her now people look at her like some nut. Naraku finally got the door open. He pushed her on the bed, straddling her hips, tying her wrists together with rope he got from his back pocket.

"You're gonna get." He said, pulling a knife out. Kagome's eyes widened. This was going to be a long night.
