Dean stopped the car in front of a bar and got out, "Time to get some money." Sam sighed but got out of the car as well and followed his brother into the bar. Sam sat near the door in case of a quick exit but also he had a good view of the pool tables.
Dean surveyed the crowd playing pool. His eyes fastened on a tall brunette with big blue eyes. Dean went to the table she was playing at; figuring girls' were always an easy mark.
The girl looked up at Dean and smiled, "Twenty says you can't beat me."
Dean smirked, "We'll see." Dean grabbed a nearby pool stick and placed a twenty dollar bill on the table. "Ladies break."
The young woman broke and got stripes. She knocked in four balls before it was Dean's turn. Dean raised an eyebrow in approval at the young woman. She smiled and stuck out a hand, "Dawn."
"Dean." Dean shook her hand and then took his first shot. He hit in five solid balls before he intentionally missed one, so Dawn could go.
Dawn won the first game. "Double or nothing?" Dean asked. Dawn nodded and she broke again. Dawn won again. "One more time?" Dean said.
Dawn cocked her head to the side and shrugged, "Okay."
This time Dean intended to win there was 160 bucks in the pot and that was enough before moving on to another person. So he tried to distract Dawn by talking to her. "So what are you doing in Minnesota?"
"Traveling. You?" Dawn answered as she broke and the 3 ball went into a pocket.
"Yea me too with my bro." Dean said tilting his head in Sam's direction. "You staying long?"
Dawn winked at Dean, "Maybe…" Another two balls in the pocket.
"What do you do when you're not traveling?" Dean asked.
"Studying, I'm a student." Another ball in.
"Oh really." Dean got a little nervous as Dawn knocked another two balls in.
"Yep languages major, Latin, Sumerian, Greek, if you speak it I'm trying to learn it." Dawn smiled as she knocked the last solid ball in. "Eight ball corner pocket. I win." Dawn grabbed the money as she placed her pool stick on the table.
"Oh come on one more game." Dean pleaded. "Give me a chance to win."
Dawn smirked, "Nope, I know when to walk away I was taught by a master."
"Damnit." Dean cussed.
Dawn kissed him on the cheek as she was walking out, "Better luck next time." Dawn winked as she went out the door.
Sam walked up to Dean, "Did you just lose to a girl?"
"Shut up." Dean mumbled as he shoved his hands into his pockets. He pulled his hand back out of his pocket with a twenty and piece of paper.
"What is it?" Sam asked.
Dean showed Sam the paper, "For next time."
