Roxy sat upon her bed, flicking through the Grimdark book with worn-out edges. Her mother must have read this book many times, though this is the first time Roxy has read it.

She's had a lot of time to think of what to do, all of her friends have perished. After Dirk and Jake broke up, they went off to fight both their denizens. The denizens mysteriously weren't there, but when they turned to leave... It's best left described. Though the only thing left of them were a few scraps of clothes and AR. Roxy turns and looks at the shades on her table and sighs. The crack across the right lens still sparks now and then. She knows he will never be fixed. And that makes the time in the aftermath of the game just as more lonely.

Jane, after the deaths of Jake and Dirk, practically went crazy. She broke every picture frame in her house, every dish, and ripped up that pony book Dirk gave her for her birthday. Roxy had tried to calm her down, but Jane lashed out at her. Punching her friend right in her jaw.

"You could have stopped them!," Jane yelled, tears streaming down her cheeks, "You should have gone with them!"

"Janey you know that I couldn't...," Roxy gripped her jaw tightly, "I didn't even know... I..." Then Roxy got shaky with sobs, "I couldn't have saved them, if I could I would have saved them. You know that."

"You could! You know you could have!," Jane was delirious. "Why didn't you save them Roxy?" She screamed and screamed. "Our friends are dead and you didn't do anything!"

Roxy couldn't do anything to calm Jane. Then Jane disappeared soon after and so did the sprites. At least she saw the dead body of Fefeta. At least she mourned her properly. She can practically still smell the lilac blood, see it on her fingers, on the walls, buried in the ground with a shovel and some dry soil.

Another sigh.

Roxy skimmed the pages of the book and she found the passage that she needed to recite. She grabbed her bottle of wine and took the last swig. She's ready to take her revenge. She lifted her hands into the air and spoke the words with all of her might.

Nothing happened. Did she do something wrong? She looked over the page of the book and threw it across the room.

"No good piece of shit!," she screamed. Then fell to the ground and cried.

"What's wrong?," a voice asked.

Roxy's blood ran cold. It worked?

"Roxy, you're too much guided by your feelings," she felt ants walking over her skin and she opened her eyes. Grayness was spreading from her finger tips and moving slowly to take over the rest of her body. At first she was scared but after a while... She felt numb. She smiled and laughed. The darkness laughed with her.

She can finally stand up without feeling guilt, finally do as she pleases and finally do what she's been wanting to do for a long time.

Kill the woman that started it all. The Empress, Her Imperious Condescension, Betty Crocker. Kill the woman that ended it all.

Kill the batterwitch.
