Hi guys so for anyone that jumps in to read this, this is my first story. This is something that kind of came to me one night, and I wrote it down then forgot about it. Anyways hope you enjoy.
Was it worth it when you left the Lord for the World's false shine? The promises they made to you, the lies they told you, the bait they set for you. The Lord, he called, he knocked, he pounded on the door that we closed in favor of the world's false distractions As time goes on your heart grows numb, and cold. The Lord stopped calling on you, with knowledge that you wouldn't answer.
In the end, was it worth it to leave his love? Are the bright lights, and false shine of the world enough to fill the void in your heart, where Jesus love once rested? Every day the warmth, and the love pulls further away, as the world provides more distractions, and reasons to stay away.
We may not see the consequences of our seemingly harmless actions, until we stand before the God we deemed unimportant in our lives. In the end, are the sinful, corrupt, temporal things we choose each and every day worth leaving our saviour for.
Forgivness has been offered to those who show repentence. Grace will cover our sins, and the Lord will receive us again.
But is anything this world offers worth the scars left behind?
A/N: Hope you liked it, feel free to review. But please be kind flames really hurt.
Keep God with you, and have great day.
