Foolish Feelings
Sasuke is such a fool.

Sasuke knew what love was like--puppy love, not the real thing. Girls had been following him around since forever, so how couldn't he know? He knew that love, even puppy love, made fools of people.
Sasuke did not want to be taken as a fool. He swore he would never fall in love. Even in puppy love--if someone in that kind of love was a fool, how much more foolish would a person in true love be?
When the feeling began, Sasuke ignored it. He guarded against it with all his might; in every effort to squish the tugging of his heart, he began acting colder and crueler. It came to the point where Sasuke felt like he could explode. It was all his fault--it was all the fault of one Naruto Uzamaki.
Girls made love confessions to him, fainted in front of him, and shadowed his every move. Foolish, he always thought. And now that he knew what he felt about Naruto, he was determined not to make himself a fool; he would avoid the problem all together, not even say a kind word, in fear of losing his sights and start talking of how beautiful his ocean irises were, or how soft his sunshine hair was--and never being able to stop.
Naruto was a fool. Naruto begged to Sakura everyday for a date, for a kind word, for something to say that she didn't hate him. It tugged at Sasuke's heartstrings to hear 'Sakura-chan!' called gleefully. And when Naruto turned and growled 'Sasuke,' in polite greeting, it tugged even more. Like his heart would burst out any second and fling towards the blond.
Sakura was also a fool. Not only was she making love confessions to him, fainting constantly while he was near, and persistently stalking him (whose heart belonged to another boy,) but she took for granted the love of the aforementioned boy. 'Sasuke-kun!' was all he heard from her mouth, and an annoyed 'Shannaro,' when Naruto did anything to bother Sasuke.
And when Sakura's fist clanged down on Naruto's head, he whined and asked her what that was for, and Sasuke's heart tugged painfully.end
