I felt this game could use a little love, so here's my sick love.

Disclaimer: I do not own The Dawn Of Mana.

The flames danced around on the sticks as Faye watched them in awe. After a few moments, she turned to see her companion huddled as far away as possible.

"Keldy? What's wrong?" she asked, plopping down on the ground and turning her head to the side. The blonde swallowed hard and glared at the flames.

"I… don't… like… fire…" he muttered darkly. Faye gave an innocent (and totally adorable) huh.

"Why not? It's so pretty and it dances!" she giggled and began to dance around. Keldy sighed and continued to glare at the fire.

"Yeah… it's pretty and deadly. Why don't you enjoy it and I'll stay over here and get frost bite!" he muttered, a tad too happily. His apparent discomfort flew right over her head as she happily turned back around. I'll get Keldy to like fire. He just doesn't know what he's missing out on! She thought in her happy little head as she reached for the stick that was lying idly beside her. Faye stabbed the end into the ruby flames until they caught on fire and a merry little flame danced on the end of it.

Keldy's POV

And back

Faye stood up and walked backwards towards her blonde friend, the flaming stick hidden.

"What are you doing, Faye?" Keldy asked, suspicion reaching into his voice. Faye giggled in her mind and turned around.

"FIRE!" she laughed. Keldy screamed a rather girlish scream and stood. In the process of showing off his vocals and jumping up, his right arm brushed against the flame and ignited like it had gasoline on it.

He ran around in circles and screamed, "MY ARM'S ON FIRE! YOU SET MY ARM ON FIRE! MY ARM'S ON FIRE! YOU SET MY ARM ON FIRE!" and he continued to do so. Faye (who thought it was all a funny scene) watched him run around her in circles. Finally, his ounce of common sense kicked in and he veered off his circle route and ran into the river.

"Faye?" he gasped, holding up his arm that was scorched. She floated slowly over to the river and sat down on a rock. Faye clapped her small hands.

"See? What did I tell you? Isn't it great?" Keldy glared at her.

"Didn't anyone ever tell you that trees catch on fire?"
