(A/N: This was inspired by the fan fic "Burn This City" by Lyrical Logic. I don't know why, because this story doesn't have anything to do with the story that inspired it, but when inspiration comes, I don't complain. Enjoy!)

Eye for an Eye

No.

This was not happening to her.

Leah could deal with the smashed mirror, the broken picture, and the turned-over couch.

But she could not deal with her daughter lying on the floor, dead.

This was not her daughter. It couldn't be. Her daughter was strong. Her daughter would have fought back.

But then Leah smelled the vampire smell lingering in the house, she knew that there was no way that her daughter could have won against one of them. Leah's daughter didn't have the years of experience that Leah and the other werewolves had.

Her daughter couldn't have made it out of this alive. No one could have.

Staring at the blood-covered teenager lying on the floor, Leah wondered what a vampire wanted from them. The werewolves and vampires hadn't bothered each other in years.

A note written on a crumpled scrap of paper answered that question.

You took the most important person in my life, so I'm doing the same to you.

The name signed on the bottom was the most shocking part.

Renesmee had done this.

(A/N: This story is begging to be continued, but I really, really can't start another chaptered story. Sorry. I was going to ask people if they wanted to adopt it, but now I'm not sure I want to do that. If anyone's interested in continuing this story, let me know and I'll think about it. Reviews are love!)
