Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Gordon and the Gremlin" from Season 5, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.
One morning, Gordon's fire wouldn't light. The fireman was trying everything, but it was no use.
"I don't know what's wrong?" sighed the firelighter.
"There could be gremlins around!" said the driver.
"What are gremlins?" asked Percy.
"They are little green men who play tricks!" replied Thomas.
"Can we find one?" asked Percy.
"Gremlins don't exist!" said James. "They're just an excuse when things go wrong, and nobody knows why!"
"If firelighter says there are gremlins, then they must exist!" said Thomas crossly.
Just then, Sir Topham Hatt arrived.
"That's enough!" he boomed. "I'm expecting a VIP today. She has heard that all of you are really useful."
"As long as the gremlins don't attack!" said Percy.
"What gremlins?"
"They're in Gordon's fire. That's why he won't start!"
"I'll see about that." said Sir Topham Hatt.
Sir Topham Hatt then turned to Gordon.
"I expect you to be a really useful engine today. You are to pull the special coach for our special visitor!"
Gordon felt very pleased.
Later, Gordon was waiting for his special coach, when Percy puffed in with some freight cars.
"What's wrong Gordon?" he asked.
"Driver says there's gremlins in the turntable!" replied Gordon.
"Boy, there everywhere!" laughed Percy.
At last, the turntable was mended, and Gordon puffed away with the special coach.
He was working harder than ever, making up for lost time.
After he arrived at the station, Sir Topham Hatt came over to see him. He was concerned.
"Where is Thomas?" he asked. "He has my special visitor!"
"He isn't being really useful!" huffed Gordon.
But soon, Thomas arrived.
"Sorry I'm late sir!" A cow got loose on the line, and we had to wait for the farmer to take her away! But the visitor is safe and sound!"
"Indeed she is!" smiled Sir Topham Hatt as he shook the visitors hand.
"How nice to see you!"
"Who is she?" asked Percy.
"I don't know." replied Thomas. "But Sir Topham Hatt does seem pleased to see her!"
She brought a dog along as well!" added in Percy.
"Come on Thomas!" said the driver. "It's time for your wash-down!"
Thomas puffed away.
"What a lazy engine Thomas is!" huffed Gordon as he puffed away.
Gordon's driver decided to make up for lost time.
Then, there was trouble! It began to rain, and water leaked into the special coach!
Worse was to follow! Gordon blew his whistle so loudly, that the dog ran off the train, and right into Thomas's cab.
The conductor showed his green flag, and Thomas puffed away.
When Thomas arrived at Brendam Docks, the visitor was surprised to see her dog.
"Her name is Gremlin!" said the visitor.
"Who is your very important visitor?" asked Thomas to Sir Topham Hatt,
"It's my mother, and she agrees with me. You are a really useful engine Thomas!"
Thomas was so delighted, that his firebox fizzled!
