Prompt: Imagine your OTP watching the stars and person A, trying to be romantic, points to one and tells person B that they are naming it after them. Person B informs person A that they are pointing at a planet and then gives a long explanation on why people know that it is a planet and not a star.
"Hey, Cas?"
Castiel raised his head from where it was nestled against the Winchester's chest, his gaze meeting the pair of bright green eyes. "Yes, Dean?"
"You see that, over there?" Using the free hand that wasn't tucked securely around the angel's waist, Dean pointed towards one of the dozens of lights that littered the inky night sky. "I think I'm gonna name that star Castiel - after you." He dropped a soft kiss on the dark mop of unruly hair.
Cas frowned at him, brow creased. "You can't do that, Dean."
"Why's that?"
"That particular object that you pointed to isn't a star," the angel explained. "It's a planet. You see, Dean, planets, when observed by the human eye, do not twinkle as stars do, and the light that you picked out is not twinkling. Planets often appear to be brighter than stars, however, and are also a different colour, although that is often very hard to distinguish with human eyesight. But regardless, it is a planet that you wish to name after me, not a star."
"No, no - Cas, that's not what I - I was just tryin' to - Never mind." Dean let out a sigh and shuffled uncomfortably. It was situations like this that meant he didn't often try to be romantic around his angel; every time he tried, it all went straight over Cas' head.
Cas was still looking at him, this time a flicker a concern in his stoic expression. "What is it? Is something wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Was that meant to be a flirtation?"
"No," Dean mumbled, even though it was useless trying to lie. Cas could pick up on everything he was thinking, after all. Freaking "profound bond" crap.
"I thought you said that you didn't "do chick-flick moments"."
"Yeah, well -" Dean cleared his throat. "It's different with you, isn't it?"
"In what way?"
"I don't know, man! It just is!" Dean tightened his grip on the angel, resting his chin on top of Cas' head. "Can we just stop talkin' about it?"
"Very well." Cas resettled his head in the crook of his charge's neck. "Dean?" He asked again after a beat of silence.
"Yeah?"
"Do you see those over there?" He gestured towards the night sky in general. "Because I would like to name every star and every planet in the sky after you."
