"ACHOOPH."

Judas raised an eyebrow. "What was that?"

Kyle, with droopy and unfocused eyes, lifted a hand to rub his nose and grinned. "Dunno. Sounded like a sneeze-cough." Then he shivered, hugging himself.

The masked boy removed his black cloak off himself and wrapped it snugly around Kyle's body.

"Thanks, Judas."

"...I'm feeling overly warm, anyway."

The blonde boy couldn't help beaming. He's not really honest, he thought. But very thoughtful.

Judas noticed Kyle's smirk and hurriedly added, "And I'm having that back when Nanaly returns with the herbs."

"I know, I know," Kyle glanced out the window. "But the snow doesn't seem to be stopping. I don't think they're coming back. Are we just gonna freeze here?"

"Of course not," Judas snapped. "It's only a small blizzard. Nothing's going prevent those three from coming back."

"I hope so."

"They will." Perhaps too forceful of a dubious claim.

"All right." It convinced Kyle.

A long pause. Soft crackling from the fireplace. Gusty winds boomed outside. Another sneeze.

Kyle shivered again, now with goosebumps forming on his forearms. He lifted his head. "Nee, Judas."

"What?"

He heaved himself up while clutching the cloak, and crawled to Judas's side. "Can I sit next to you?"

Judas felt his cheeks turn beet red and swung his head the other way. "You're next to me already," He tried reasoning.

The blonde grinned. Sounds like a 'yes' to me. With his back to the wall, he crouched, drew back his knees, and happily glued himself to Judas. The masked boy reached out and took the leather cloak from Kyle. He stretched it apart before laying it over himself and Kyle. Contrary to his dark and cold facade, Judas surprisingly provided a soothing warmth, as Kyle realized when he snuggled up to Judas. He attempted to suppress another smile, and was overwhelmed with another series of coughs.

Judas frowned. "Go to sleep. It'll stop the coughing and wheezing." He said, his eyes indicating concern.

Kyle nodded obediently and gently leaned his head on the other boy's shoulders. "Good night, Judas," He murmured. He didn't mind the absence of a reply; it was reassuring enough to feel the person by his side. Under unfamiliar yet comforting warmth, Kyle quickly drifted off to sleep.

Staring out the window, Judas watched the rapid falling snowdrops. He observed the wind. It howled menacingly and ruthlessly as it swept by; it roared at this loosely constructed foundation. They aren't returning tonight after all.

He tugged his cloak closer, and noticed the sleeping boy next to him: Soft snores, accompanied by a peaceful, innocent expression. Judas reached out his hand and, ever so slowly, slipped it in Kyle's and held it gently but firmly. The pale, limp hand emitted chills, yet it also felt marginally warm.

Judas thought he didn't want to let go.
