In a small cramped office of the third floor of a moderately pleasant building, is the mighty world headquarters of Cielo Investigations. If you happened to make your way past the gray-green door, you might notice that the paint on "O" in Cielo was peeling, and the small names "Reborn & Sawada" underneath. If you took a peek inside the door, you might notice the faint smell of coffee and aftershave around, and a strange furry creature lying in front of the door. And if you made your grand entrance, then you would realise that the furry thing was a lion cat hybrid, and that the coffee was coming from a battered pot on the radiator.
The office itself is nothing special, two desks, a filing cabinet, a wilting potted plant looking like it had barely survived a drought, and a battered, overstuffed sofa. Behind each desk, sits a detective, both polar opposites. The man dons a fedora, hair spiking out underneath, with two curly sideburns poking out his face. He is quite handsome, though devilishly so, staring at you with a mischievous (or is it dangerous) glint in his eyes. His suit was of high quality, though the jacket now hangs on the back of his chair, and the first two buttons of his shirt are undone. The woman is young-looking and innocent, with caramel brown hair tied up in a ponytail, and wearing a crisp white blouse and skirt. Her eyes are large, only adding to her sense of natural beauty, and you get the feeling that if she asked you anything, you would comply.
If you linger your thoughts on the subject, you might wonder why two well-dressed young adults are in such a dingy office. But you don't of course, instead choosing question what kinds of people would visit such an establishment, and excuse yourself politely, escaping from the man's amused glance and the woman's innocently questioning stare. Heading to your destination, you let the thought of the office linger in your mind, before disappearing completely by the end of the day.
But the people who visit this place are plenty, and are different in so many ways than you can imagine...
