"Morning."

Turning his head, he smiled toward her and bowed. "Good morning."

Nodding in return, she snorted. (Totally un-lady-like, he mused.) "Not feeling well?"

"You could say that." He replied with a slight hum; "I haven't been able to stretch a few limbs for a last few weeks, so I felt—"

"Weak? Uncoordinated?" she asked, "or maybe tired of waiting?"

Staring at her for a moment, he chuckled. "Yeah, probably that." And now giving her an amused smile. "You always know what words to say, ma'am."

She rolled her eyes and playfully swatted his shoulder. "And you need to lie loose, mister 'I'm always polite'."

"Touché."

A moment of silence ensued as she sighed; the playful eyes were no more and tired eyes formed from it. Looking straight in his eyes, she stepped forward and slowly took his (—pale, contrast to his scar, contrast to his arm—) face in both hands. "Why do we always continue with this phony charade, Allen?"

Gently stroking his cheeks, small tears leaked out from her eyes. "There's only the two of us here—can't we just forget about all of that and just do it?"

"Aren't you happy we're finally got free from them? From the world? From our responsibilities?"

Smiling bitterly, he softly brushed her hands off and the tears on her cheeks.

"Sorry." He murmured as she leaned to his arms. "But…it's just not…right, Lenalee…"

"To be negligent for our duties…to be irresponsible toward our responsibilities…when we're still in war…"

She sobbed in his chest. "But I don't want to lose you—or anyoneplease Allen…"

"No more…"

Another sad smile plastered on his face as he lifted her head to view. He gently kissed her forehead and stepped backward, letting her go from his embrace (cold, his arms not around her anymore) whilst opening an Ark's gated.

She cried.

"—no! Allen, please don't!"

Looking back before getting into the Ark, Allen gave her another bitter smile and mouthed, "Sorry." before it disappeared. Leaving her collapsing on the ground and crying with her face covered by her hands.

THE END

A/N: …I seriously don't know what the clam just I write—but I guess it's kinda like Lenalee's the one who chases after Allen instead of Johnny and Kanda (like playing cat and mouse or hide-and-seek or something), and whenever she finds him they always do the same thing like she approaches him and saying she wants to forget everything with the Order and Noah and stuff, and he backs away, saying it's his (their) duty to do it, then runs away again. Or at least I think it is… Anyway, first fanfic in the DGM fandom after being intoxicated in the KHR fandom for God who knows long, and wanting to make another Allen/Lenalee fanfic later with a weird plot. Any-ho, reviews and criticism in any form are very much appreciated, thank you. :)
