I would've told her I loved her last night,

As I watched her fall asleep so suddenly - the pounding of her heart so close to mine I could almost feel our rhythm's become one.

I would've told her I loved her this morning,

When she cradled Eve in her guarding arms, unknowingly killing me with the softening of her voice as she called her ''sweetheart'' once more.

I would've told her I loved her just now,

As she sat there on the rock, sharpening her sword with the wind through her long, dark tresses; her eyes piercing into the heath of the fire - lost in thought.

I would've told her I loved her tomorrow,

When I would awaken to the sight of her face next to me – her cheek caressed by the glistening sun, her lips baking in its warmth.

I would've told her I loved her all those years,

But even now I am still at a loss for words in her presence.

I would've told her I loved her,

And I hope that one day I will find a way

To make my pen become my voice.
