THE HYLIAN INCIDENT-By Morphius904

Chapter 2

"You did...what?" asked the disapointed Qui-Gon Jinn to the King of Hyrule, who was sitting far above them all, on his throne positioned high above the floor of his court.

The King of Hyrule was a chubby man, with black eyes and dark hair that was thinning out at the top. He wore a massive crown encrusted with jewels and held between his thick fingers a huge scepter, the Scepter of Hyrule, the symbol of true royal power in the kingdom.

"I signed a treaty with the Trade Federation," said the King happily. "It says taht I am allowed to send ships on their trade routes and they are, in exchanger, allowed to mine the Dodongo's Cavern for the Goron's bomb flowers. Also, they paid my treasury 500 million rupees as a final payoff."

"You idiot!" yelled Vegeta "Did it occur to you taht rupees are worth absolutely nothing off this plane??? What about the fact that you have no ship? That seep through your tiny brain???"

"Calm down, Vegeta," said Qui-Gon. Then he turned to the King. "Your Highness, we have reason to believe that the Trade Federation may have some sort of evil intention and we request your gracious permission to proceed with an investigation."

The King sighed, but finally signed a Royal Warrent of Approval. Then the party boewed to the King (all accept for Vegeta) and turned to leave.

Just as the party cleared the drawbridge, the horses the king said he would allow them to borrow were lead up by a single figure in a dark, hooded cloak. He lead the horses to the party and turned to leave.

Just then Qui-Gon felt some disturbance in the force...a presense of great evil nearby. He looked at Obi-Wan and, by the look in his eyes, he knew that he had felt it, too. Then they both looked in the direction of the man who brought the horses to them. He turned around slowly to face them. He then raised both his hands in front of him. Suddunly the space between his outstretched fingers began to crackle with purple energy.

Suddunly from this strange figure's hands shot a bolt of purple lightning. Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Vegeta managed to dash out of it's path, but the bolt slammed into Link's chest, sending him flying backwards with a black scorch mark on his green tunic.

The dark figure then put his hands up to his hood and threw it backward. The Jedi were confronted with a most terrifying visage: Darth Maul's snarling face looked straight back at them. Darth Maul had returned.
