(Authors note: Hi everyone! It's been a while. I have new found inspiration for this fic and I am now on the road to renew this story and its storylines. So, not just basic grammar and spelling, but also closing the storyline gaps. I hope you will all still enjoy my story as I continue this journey of Draco and Hermione. Xxx)

She woke up shivering from the cold and didn't recognize her surroundings immediately. It had been 6 months since they fled from the wedding and started camping in the woods. They only had the medallion and were still trying to find out how to destroy the Horcrux. They filled their days with seeking for non-poisoned fruits and thinking of what the Horcruxes could be and where to find them. Even though those were small tasks, they were tiring her out and she could see the fatigue on Ron and Harry as well. They just wanted this war to be over, but they were the only ones who could stop it. Her thoughts were interrupted by a large bird on the other side of the tent.

She saw Ron sleeping in the bunk beside her and the shadow of Harry in front of the tent. Hermione got out of bed, grabbed some berries they picked yesterday morning and settles down next to Harry in front of the tent.

"Here," she says and she hands him some of the berries.

"Thanks," he said gratefully and smiled at her. But instead of eating the berries, he rolled them between his fingers.

"Have you had any sleep?" she asked while looking at the bags under his eyes.

"Yeah," he says, averting his eyes. She can tell he is lying, but she doesn't say anything about it. He is having it hard enough as it is.

She thought about her classmates and most of her friends who are at Hogwarts right now, in who knows what circumstances. She thought about Ginny, Luna and Neville who only have each other now and she feels a sting of guilt. She is probably safer than them in these woods and she didn't even bother to bring them safety. It could have been her if she hadn't chosen to be friends with Harry Potter back in her first year. Maybe she would've already been dead. Or locked up. Or worse.

She heard Ron shuffling in the tent, but he doesn't come to sit with them.

"Ron?" she said while peeking through the tent opening. "I have some berries for you."

"I don't like berries." she heard him mumbling and she sighed as she heard him opening cupboards, which she knew were empty.

"Let him." Harry sighed as well. "Where are we going to apparate to today?"

She started thinking about camping holidays with her parents and those memories pained her. She wondered where in Australia they are and hoped that if she dies in this war, they will be fine. Even if the Light would win the war, she knew that she would never see her parents again. The memory-lock was so powerful, that even if Albus Dumbledore still lived, he couldn't break the spell.

"I honestly don't know Harry, the Death Eaters must know we are hiding in woods or somewhat since You-Know-Who already knows we are hunting for his Horcruxes. But there isn't really another option than hiding in the woods."

"Maybe we could go back to the Forest of Dean, it's so big it should take 2 weeks to have seen the back of every tree."

Hermione nodded in agreement and got inside the tent again, searching for Ron and getting something to eat for him.

Ron was laying on the couch with his arm still in the bandage.

"You have to eat something, Ron. You'll starve," she said and she gave him pieces of a squirrel.

"Is that the only thing you care about? If I will starve?" he spits at her.

"Uhm yes. What would you want me to care about Ron? If you're getting your 8 hours of sleep-" she got interrupted by Ron.

"I can see you two, Hermione," he taunted her, "Doing stuff when I'm still sleeping, discussing hiding places, hunting for food and even discussing how to catch Horcruxes when I'm not there. I know it and I'm sick of it."

"But Ron, we-" she got interrupted again, this time by Harry who got inside the tent as well.

"Whats wrong?" Harry asks.

"Wrong? Nothing's wrong. Not according to you, anyway." Ron said and looks at Hermione, daring her to say anything.

"Look, if you've got something to say, don't be shy. Spit it out." Harry said calmly.

"Allright, I'll spit it out. But don't expect me to be grateful because there's another damn thing we've got to find."

"I thought you knew what you signed up for," Harry said and Hermione looks restless between the two boys, not liking how this was going to turn out. There had been tensions, but it was never discussed. This was their first real fight and she was only hoping that it wouldn't end up in hexes.

"Yeah, I thought I did too," Ron said evilly and looked at them both.

"Well then, I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand. What part of this, isn't living up to your expectations? Did you think we were gonna be staying at a hotel? Finding a Horcrux every other day? That you'd be back by Christmas?" Harry stood closer to Ron. Hermione was expecting that Ron would back off, but he only got more heated.

"I just thought, that after all this time, we would've achieved something. I thought you knew what you were doing. I thought Dumbledore would've told you something worthwile. I thought you had a plan." Ron cut in and Hermione went to stand next to Harry.

"I told you everything that Dumbledore told me! In case you haven't noticed we have found a Horcrux already." Harry started to lose his actual temper now.

"Yeah, and we're as close to getting rid of it as we are to finding the rest of them, aren't we?" Ron asked angrily.

Hermione walked up to Ron and tried to take the medallion from his neck. "Ron, please, take- take the Horcrux off, you wouldn't be saying any of this if you hadn't been wearing it all night." Ron shrugged her away as if she's nothing and focused on Harry again.

"Want to know why I listen to that radio? To make sure, I don't hear Ginny's name, or Fred, or George, or mom."

Harry cut in. "You think I'm not listening? You think I don't know how this feels?" Harry yelled at him.

"No, you don't know how it feels! Your parents are dead! You have no family!" Ron yelled.

Hermione then knew that Ron went too far. All the tension that was built up in the last months was now blowing out of everyone. Everyone was quiet after Ron's comment and Hermione silently hoped that Harry would just ignore him.

"Come on. Let's just-" Hermione tried to say but Harry lunged forward to Ron and started punching him.

"Stop! Stop!" Hermione yelled and grabbed a hold of Harry.

"Go! Go!" Harry yelled. "Go then!"

Hermione first thought he was talking to her, but it was Ron he was looking at.

"Fine." Ron says and he took off the locket. He grabbed a bag with his stuff and stood before the opening of the tent, where only a few minutes ago it was all still silent and good. He looked at Hermione. "Are you coming with me or are you staying with him?"

"Ron, I-" Hermione said hopelessly. "You know I can't leave now."

"Fine," he said and he stomps out of the tent.

Hermione chases after him, but he pushes her off him.

"Don't go, Ron! You can't do this to Harry!" she yelled at him, trying to grab his arm.

"Well, I bloody well can Hermione. You don't care anyway. Neither does he." he harshly said and Apparated away as soon as she let him go.

Hermione stood there, breathing hard and seeing the puffs of her breath in the air. A single tear escaped as she walked back to her tent, realizing she had gone too far back and needed to go to their safe zone.
