It was still dark when he opened his eyes, the night wasn't over but his efforts for sleep were. His eyelids felt heavy, almost as if they were begging him to close them and plunge back into a deep slumber, but he could not. Not after the heartbreaking dream he had just experienced. Robin rolled onto his side and inspected the time on his communicator which read "04:36". Letting out a huge sigh of disappointment, he pulled himself up and tried to collect his unusually messy thoughts, but it was all in vain. There was only one clear thought rushing through his head, Starfire. Nothing he thought about could stop him imagining those great big shiny emerald coloured eyes, the way her vibrant hair shined as bright as her smile or her adorable, yet naive, phrases she'd often use to comfort or entertain the team. Hearing her snores, muffled from the next room filled him with anticipation for their next encounter. He wanted to tell her how much he cared for her, how he wanted to spend the rest of eternity living side by side with her. Robin shook his head, trying to relieve his mind from the tangled thoughts he was having and reached out to turn on the lamp, as if lighting up the room could stop himself from thinking. The light quickly unveiled the room before his very eyes, which he could see reflected in one of his mirrors. He darted his eyes away, like he was avoiding eye contact with himself, and stared meaninglessly into the wall as if it could easily solve all of his problems for him.
"Ugh... What's wrong with me?" he miserably questioned the empty room.
On the other side of that wall lay the beautiful alien princess herself, Starfire, sleeping peacefully. She was blissfully unaware to the fact that she kept her team leader awake, at stupid hours in the morning, over the thought of her. In her semi-unconscious state, Starfire could see her homeland, Tamaran, instead this time she was accompanied by a large tabby cat in a very smart blue collar. She was boasting to her older sibling about her new pet. Outside of the dream, a smile formed onto her unconscious face and she rolled over onto her front and continued her soft snoring.
