Maybe this would be more fun if Gajeel was also wasted.

Gajeel Redfox knew that Levy McGarden was a lightweight but this was ridiculous. The six of them; Salamander, Bunny Girl, Stripper, and the Water Woman, had decided to play Never Have I ever in the safety of Lucy's home. The girls couldn't hold their alcohol to save their lives though, so an embarrassing and informative night of Never Have I Ever had turned into a night of babysitting the girls.

The Shrimp was currently intoxicated off her ass and a giggling mess sitting atop a table, in a side room of Lucy's apartment. Her blue curly hair fell over her eyes and her bandana was long gone. Her legs were curled up beneath her rear and her hands covered her mouth in a pathetic attempt to disguise her giggles. Gajeel leaned against the doorpost as he watched her laugh.

"Gajeeeeel…" The shorty slurred. "Don't come in here!"

Gajeel raised a studded eyebrow. "Why not, Shrimp?"

"I told you not to call me Shrimp!" Levy whined before bursting into another fit of laughter. "Stupid Gajeel! It's because the floor is LAVA!"

Gajeel snorted. "Really? That's why yeh won't get off the table?"

"Lu-chan said that the floor is lava, so now the floor is lava!" Levy insisted.

Gajeel surveyed the room. Yup… there was definitely no way she could get out of there by jumping from object to object. Not that he would want her to in her inebriated state.

"And yeh can't just walk over here because…?"

"BECAUSE THE FLOOR IS LAVA!"

Of course. Gajeel sighed affectionately. "Okay, Shrimp." He walked over to the shrimp and the blue-haired fairy gasped.

"Gajeel! You're going to get burned!"

"I'm fire-proof, Shrimp."

Levy giggled. "Ohhh!" She cackled again when he had crossed the room and picked her up, throwing her over his shoulder.

"I knew it!" She cried. "That's why you're so good at beating up Natsu!"

Gajeel's ears heated up. "Yeh really think so?" He asked self-consciously. The validity of the conversation didn't occur to Gajeel.

"Of course!"

Gajeel reached the threshold of the room and placed the Solid Script Mage down. He didn't want to let go of her (he loved the proximity of her unique scent; leather and paper, of the feel of her soft skin, of the weight of her small body…), but it would have been kind of weird if he didn't.

Levy's eyes widened when she realized she was safely on the ground again and she squealed in delight. "You saved me!" She cried happily. She rammed herself into the Gajeel's front, burrowing her face in his abs. Gajeel was suddenly uncomfortable in his body. Heat burned through his entire body. Gajeel looked down at the mass of cerulean curls. It slowly moved until Levy's face was staring seriously into Gajeel's. His crimson eyes met her giant honey brown irises.

"This." She said solemnly, putting a pause between that word and the rest of her sentence. Gajeel heard his heart beating in his ears and his blood roared in his veins. Gajeel stopped breathing while he looked down at her, waiting for the rest of her comment. He clung to every dramatic breath she took in between her words. "Is the type of support I need in a relationship."

The blue fairy who had stolen the heart of the iron dragon slayer then turned on her heels and skipped out of the room.

Wait a second… Gajeel thought slowly as he recovered from the magnificence of Levy McGarden, relationship?
