This is my first Harry Potter story. I have been wanting to do one for a couple years now, but it took until now for the courage to come to me as well as the inspiration. This is a one-shot most likely will not be continued. Forgive me if the characters are ooc. Rate and Review, Peace.
"Something troubling you, Harry?" Sirius asked.
Something indeed was bothering Harry. Could it be that the 31st of October was coming up? It would make sense, it was the fifteenth anniversary of his parents death, but no that was not what was bothering him at the moment.
"No, I'm fine." Harry lied.
Sirius could tell he was lying. Had he not raised the boy from a tiny baby to a unruly haired teenager?
"I lied, there is something troubling me." Harry stated with a little guilt.
"Won't you tell me then?" Sirius questioned, concerned.
"I'd like to, but I'm not sure I know how."
Sirius stopped what he was doing immediately and turned his attention fully onto Harry.
"I'm all ears try and tell me what has got you troubled."
"Is the reason why you took me in because I look like the spitting image of your best friend?" Harry asked, bluntly.
Sirius reacted immediately. "Harry, I wouldn't love you one bit less if you looked like Severus Snape."
Harry blinked a few times.
"I think we both know that's a lie." Harry laughed.
"Perhaps." Sirius began. "I might have took you in, in the beginning because you were my best mate's son, but I have grown to love you like you were my own son." Sirius spoke sincerely.
"Okay, prove it."
Sirius left the room making Harry feel as though Sirius didn't love him. He came back seconds later with a box filled with several binders filled to the rim.
"w-What's this" Harry stuttered.
"Take a look for yourself." Sirius offered.
Harry looked through the first binder with amazement. It had pictures of him from the day he was born until he was one year old. The following binders followed the same pattern. There were a total of sixteen binders, all of them crammed to their capacity with pictures. They also had every drawing, every note that Harry had given to Sirius.
Harry was going to tell Sirius that this was amazing when Sirius piped in.
"If that's not enough for you to believe me I also have video clips of you and I through the years."
The thought of Sirius having more than this was mind boggling to Harry. What was in all of the binders made Harry believe that Sirius was telling the truth. You see if Sirius were raising Harry out of obligation would he keep memories of his time with him?
Harry gently put the binders back in the box before moving out of the chair and hugging Sirius.
"I love you, Sirius" Harry cried, tears streaming down his cheek as he hugged Sirius.
Sirius shivered. It wasn't often that Harry cried and it only made him want to hold him tighter and lull him to sleep. If you brought it up in public Sirius would probably deny it, but at that very moment two stray tears from both eyes spilled down his cheek.
The sound of a camera clicking and a flash were both heard and seen in the background.
Sirius looked up to see Remus with a camera in his hands. He had took a picture of the teary embrace between the two. Not long after Sirius seen Remus with the camera Harry became aware of that same fact.
Slowly but surely Sirius and Harry broke apart from each other and were giving Remus a look that said 'get out of here before we eat you alive.'
In the end Sirius and Harry ended up chasing Remus trying to get the film from him, but once they did a funny thing happened they both decided to keep the picture. Every time both Sirius and Harry looked back at that picture they both acted like it was something Remus drew and something that never happened, but they both knew it did.
We reached the end. Hope you liked it, look out for my other story (one-shot) which has Remus as a father figure to Harry. Thank you heavenly father for giving me the inspiration to write this. Ok, I'm done. Amen! Peace.
