I could soooo picture this happening.
I wanted him to come back to the show, I never thought Moffat and Gatiss would give him back to us. Answering his question: yes, I've missed you!
The helicopter landed on the big garden of Magnussen's house. Calmly walking, Sherlock and John make their way inside the Appledore only to find the man who twists Sherlock's stomach expressionless, comfortably sat on the couch. They take a closer look and see a bullet wound on his head.
"Holy…" John mumbles. "What do we do now?"
"Search the whole house; there's gotta be an access way to the vaults. We've got to find the files."
Sherlock had noticed something; it'd be unusual if he hadn't. He threw his brother's laptop on the couch as John was walking around the house, searching for the supposed access to the vaults. The detective leans forward and firstly removes Magnussen's glasses that he puts on himself. Just ordinary glasses he realizes. Sherlock puts the glasses back on the man and just then he turns his attention to the pocket of his jacket with a small paper sticking out of it. He pulls it carefully and reads it.
I took my chance to have him taken out of the way. He doesn't know how we play this game. This little game of ours. Yes, that's right, Sherlock, I'm staying alive… Being dead is so boring! What can I say, Daddy's back, Sherley. I'm the King, and this time I'll wear the crown and you'll be the one putting it on me. Then you'll go down on all four and be my footstool so I can sit on my throne, and oh, Johnny will be my foot rest stool.
By the way, maybe you should consider the ones you want to make your enemies. I know deep down you liked me; I'm the old fashion villain. I had more courteous; I had tea with you, didn't urinate in the fireplace.
Oh, and the secrets: they're all in his head; I wouldn't bother searching the house. He has a mind palace too.
"Joh-" Sherlock was going to calling his friend but decided to keep it discreet for now.
It is true: he and Moriarty are the same in a way. They both like the challenge of a good gameplay. Moriarty doesn't get his hands dirty, Magnussen did. He only kept record of the pressure points, the ways to manipulate and blackmail people. Moriarty, on the other hand, liked to test and to be tested. If he'd use his intelligence for good purposes, he and Sherlock would be rulers of the world.
An intervention team crawled closer to the entrance of Magnussen's country house. A helicopter landed, Mycroft hopped off and ran inside that house only to find his brother standing next to the dead body of Magnussen.
"Oh Sherlock, what have you done?"
Sherlock walked to him and gave him the paper. "Though I'd love to claim this as my deed, I can't." He handed him the paper. "You won't believe it, brother dear."
"This is not possible." Mycroft expressed incredulous after reading the note.
"Everything is possible in this world, Mycroft." Sherlock told him.
He made his way out the house, putting his coat's collar up. Soon John had joined him on the outside where he told him that Moriarty was alive.
Leave a review, believe in Sherlock, wait for another year for three new episodes, and stay alive!
