Echo: This kind of came to my mind sometime last week and I've been working on it since. Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you like this!

Thanksgiving, it's the holiday that comes right after Halloween. It just also happens to be one of Alfred's favorite holidays. After all, who doesn't like a holiday that's pretty much an excuse for stuffing your face with food?

The American Country couldn't think of anyone off the top of his head. However, he was sure he wouldn't get along with the person. Especially seeing as he tended to start planning for Thanksgiving the day after Halloween.

There was also the fact that he liked to change up what he did for Thanksgiving each year.

Alfred loved to make Thanksgiving a huge event. That was why there were at least several parades for the holiday. Not to mention the Thanksgiving song by Adam Sandler. He tended to annoy the other nations he invited for Thanksgiving, by playing the song on repeat for the majority of the day.

The parades and songs were all spectacular, but the main event was the food of course. Each year Alfred would always go a bit overboard with the food. However, he felt as if he needed to go a bit overboard. Besides, Alfred liked Thanksgiving leftovers.

There was another reason Alfred went overboard; it was usually when he went out to buy what he needs for Thanksgiving dinner. Alfred bought more food than he really needed.

Everything extra that he bought was donated to various food pantries. If a family couldn't afford to buy what they needed for Thanksgiving dinner, they could get it through a food pantry.

It made him happy to know that a family could have a Thanksgiving dinner because of his donations. Thanksgiving was one of the holidays that made him more aware and well, thankful.

With the parades and the meal, it was almost hard to forget the football game that was held that day. Alfred always made sure to tune into the game. Not to mention he had two great football teams to cheer on. Although, there was always one team he secretly cheered more for. This was something he would never admit, though.

There was another tradition on Thanksgiving that involved a turkey, besides having it as the feature of the meal. Alfred helped pick out the turkey that would be safe on Thanksgiving. There was always one turkey that remained safe from becoming someone's dinner on Thanksgiving.

On Thanksgiving, the other nations tended to find Alfred a bit annoying, but also amusing at the same time. After all, the American nation acted just a bit different on Thanksgiving.

The one nation that really seemed amused by America was Arthur. The English nation couldn't help but be reminded of what Alfred had been like as a child.

Francis had questioned Arthur about it one year. However, Arthur had refused to answer the French nation, instead calling him a frog before going to see if Alfred wanted any help in the kitchen. Arthur hadn't even finished his question before Alfred practically shoved him out of the kitchen, saying in the nicest way possible that he didn't want the English nations help making the food.

When all the food was finished and each nation was seated at the table, the smile on Alfred's face was one the nation's only saw on Thanksgiving. And each nation was thankful that Alfred didn't get Arthur's cooking skills.

Echo: Well I hope you liked that. There were a few things I struggled with wording a bit, but all in all I'm happy how it came out. So, thank you for reading, please review and once again, Happy Thanksgiving!
