To long, too long, it's been about a month since I did my last fanfic update. Man, time flies. A PotatoKillerX production presents,

Naruto, The paperboy

It started like any other practice session; Kakashi gave everyone something to practice. Naruto was practicing some of the standard shuriken techniques; Sasuke was practicing his Fire Style! Fireball Technique. Sakura was practicing Substitution Jutsu with items found around the meadow they were in. "Kakashi sensei, while we are practicing, what will you be doing?" asked Sakura. Kakashi replied, "Well Sakura, I'm going to read the book that I do almost every other time you practice." Yes, it was his favorite book; Make out Paradise, the book which he read during practice sessions only. Naruto was getting bored really fast. Hitting the bull's eye was getting very old. "Argh! This is getting so boring." Naruto yelled. He flung a shuriken at the bull's eye. Ironically, in a twist of fate otherwise, it hit one of the shuriken stuck in the bull's eye, it ricocheted, flung through the Fireball Technique jutsu, caught fire, and hit Kakashi's Make out Paradise Book. It falls to the ground burning. "Oh shit." Naruto muttered.

Kakashi gave Naruto an evil glare. Then, he had a mood swing. "It was just a book." He continued, "Also, I know that Naruto will buy a new one." Naruto was stunned, quite literally. The evil glare seemed to paralyze him. "Ye…yeah, um, how much does it cost." Naruto asked. Kakashi replied, "Well, since it was a collecter's edition and signed by the author, I'd say it would come to about 5,242.44 yen. (Approximately 45 American dollars). Naruto didn't have that kind of money. 200 yen maybe, but not the amount he needed. "How am I supposed to make that kind of money?" Naruto complained. "Simple." Kakashi said, "Get a job."

The following day, Naruto went out looking for some jobs around the village. He swept store fronts, picked weeds, and so on. And all it got him was 100 yen all together. Naruto figured that at this rate, it would take about 53 days to get the yen needed. "This, could take a while." When he got home, he looked at the paper he got this morning. While he was looking for the comics, he came across a help ad.

Wanted: New Paperboy

Pay: 600 Yen a day. Apply at the Village center.

Naruto did the math, it would only take him about nine days, and he would have some extra money left over. He ran to the village center.
