Contains slight spoilers from The Magicians Code.

Robin is sitting alone in the booth at MacLaren's when she notices a familiar figure sit down in the opposite booth.

She and a tired Marshall greet each other as usual, but she can't help but wonder why he is at the bar.

"What brings you here?" she asks Marshall, trying to sound casual, but failing.

"I wanted to see if you were alright" he replies with a worried look on his face. She knows what he could be talking about, but she highly doubts it.

Faking confusion, Robin asks "What do you mean?".

Marshall sighs and looks at Robin with a understanding look on his face."You don't have to pretend you know."

"About what?" she fakes confusion once again.

"About Barney!"Marshall bursts out."I know you're still in love with him. Lily and Ted have been too busy to notice, but I haven't!"

Robin, too tired to pretend anymore, just whispers" How did you know?"

"It was quite obvious really" he points out. "The clues were all there. Your face when Barney and Quinn announced their engagement and how you always said you had to leave when they came to the bar. You can't keep it all inside anymore."

"What am I supposed to do? Tell him?" Robin moaned. "I've already broke him and Nora up! I can't do it again."

Marshall seemed to be a little bewildered at that comment, but his face soon turned into one rather like his wives evil scheming face.

"Robin, I may be no Lily, but I have picked up a few of her breaking up skills though the years. After all I did help her break you and Barney up and that worked out pretty well."

She gave him a little glare at his last sentence, but soon her expression turned into a curious one.

"Are you thinking what I think you're thinking" she asked with a little grin on her face.

"Oh yes, Robin I think I am." Marshall replied with a cheeky smile on his face. "I'm stepping into Lily's shoes. We are breaking Barney and Quinn up!"

Just had a small idea about Marshall confronting Robin about her feelings towards Barney and it turned into something bigger. I really feel like Marshall and Robin don't get enough moments together. If you want me to continue please review and tell me so. Thanks for reading!
