Yellow. Blue. Red.
Primary colors.
Abby remembered learning about them in school. In kindergarten, it made her squeal with glee every time she saw those primary colors. And, though she doesn't squeal when she sees them, it still makes her happy to look at the bright colors.
Although, sometimes, she still squeals when she sees those colors. Blue especially. More specifically: when her computer goes blue screen. And then there's yellow. More specifically: the yellow, golden blonde hair of Timothy McGee coming to in to fix her blue screen.
Blue screen. Yellow blonde hair.
Blue and yellow makes green.
Green like Timmy's eyes. A
lright, fine. She had to admit, she had a crush on the young agent. A BIG crush.
"Abby?" McGee called as he walked into the her lab. "Hey, Abs where are you?"
"McGee it's doing it again!" she cried, exasperated, the blue light of her computer reflecting off her face. If course, Abby was perfectly capable of fixing a simple blue screen herself, however, she would much rather have McGee do it. Mostly, she loved the way he'd hurry down with bright eyes, at her every whim. It made her giggle and snicker a little to think about it.
"Again?" McGee asked. "Seriously, Abs. You really need to think about getting a new computer,"
"WHAT? No!" she cried, standing protectively in front of the computer monitor.
McGee chuckled little, grinning at her playful immaturity. Then he snapped his fingers. "That reminds me! Gibbs wanted to talk to you," he remembered.
Abby cocked her head to one side. "Talk to me? About what?"
McGee shrugged. "I dunno. He just wants to talk to you," he said and gave her an adorable smile.
Abby smiled back. "Okay," she said. "Be right back!" she said loudly, like a five-year-old, and dashed out of the room.
Blue. Red. Yellow.
Primary colors.
Abby could remember learning about them in school. She could especially remember mixing them together to make a very funny color.
Blue, like the blue screen that McGee was supposed to be fixing. Yellow, like his perfect yellow, golden blonde hair. Red, like the deep shade he blush when she figured out his lie before even reaching the elevator.
Abby knew very well what happens when you mix the primary colors.
You get brown.
Brown like the home made chocolate cupcake McGee was putting into the fridge when Abby walked in on him.
"McGee, what are you doing?" she asked vey softly.
McGee whipped around, face bright red. "I-I... Did you talk to Gibbs?"
"Gibbs doesn't want to talk to me, McGee," she said flatly, but smiling nonetheless. "Well, I mean he does but- oh you know what I mean. If Gibbs wanted to talk to me, he've come down himself. So... What ARE you doing, Timmy?" she grinned.
Tim shuffled his feet awkwardly. "I... I was... I felt bad about eating you're cupcake last week... S-so I made you a new one..." he stuttered sheepishly, referring to the crudely built, sort of sloppy looking chocolate cupcake.
"Oh Timmy..." Abby giggled, her eyes lighting up.
Red. Blue. Yellow.
Primary colors.
Abby remembered learning about them in school. She remembered mixing them together and creating a vast array of other colors.
Green. Orange. Purple.
Secondary colors.
McGee remembered learning about them in school. He especially remembered what happens when you mix all of the primary and secondary colors together.
You get black.
Black.
Black, like Abby's lipstick on his cheek.
