Frisk put the phone back into their pocket. They didn't hate Alphys, but she could definitely be annoying. Hurrying before another status update arrived, Frisk reached a SAVE point.
*The smell of cobwebs fills the air... It fills you with determination!
"Cobwebs? " Frisk thought nervously. They began to sweat. Frisk hated spiders. They always had a tendency to crawl out at the most unexpected of times, frightening Frisk.
Frisk nervously trod onwards. They came into a room with a black floor, and purple walls.
There were cobwebs littering the ground, and Frisk sneaked around them. They didn't want to know how many spiders were inside.
That route of traversing the cobwebs became unavailable, as the entire floor was covered in cobwebs from here on in.
Frisk, after a moment, put a foot in. Nothing happened, so after a moment they began to slowly walk forwards.
Frisk felt something on their neck, and let out a shriek. They twisted around, but their leg gave way and they fell into the cobwebs.
Frisk was in tears at this point, as they felt the spiders crawl across their body. Suddenly, a woman's voice was heard.
"You know dearie, I would usually begin with some dialogue but this is really quite saddening."
"H-help m-m-me please!" Frisk spluttered between sobs.
All of a sudden, Frisk felt cobwebs wrap around their wrists, and they were pulled upright. After they were standing, the cobwebs released them.
"What's wrong dearie? Not a fan if spiders? " The voice said, pitifully.
Frisk turned to the voice, and was frozen to the spot. A spider, as tall as Frisk was standing opposite them.
She was wearing an older style of dress, and had a bow in her hair.
"Mind you, I'm probably not helping the situation. The name's Muffet, love. I run this bakery."
It took all of Frisk's willpower and then some to not faint. They kept a steady face and wiped away some tears.
"H-hiya..." Frisk managed to exclaim, eventually.
"Now I should fight you, I've been offered a lot of money for your soul, but just look at you. You're shaking like a leaf. Aw, come here dearie" Muffet said.
Frisk slowly, trembling, made her way forward. They made it to Muffet, and she opened her arms. Frisk, although they were afraid, really needed a hug. They accepted.
Frisk began to calm down slowly.
"You look starving! Here, have a Spider Donut. It's on the house, dearie." She said, with a smile.
Frisk took a small bite, and it was pretty good. They took a big bite.
"This is good. T-thank you." They said, with a smile.
Not all spiders are bad, treat them with respect. A valuable lesson Frisk learned that day.
