Drabble – Mess – 100 Words
Hephaestion stood with his arms crossed, a slight smile on his face in front of the king's desk. Alexander was looking carelessly for the reports Hephaestion needed.
The desk was littered with scrolls, quills and inks. Maps from every region they had conquered feathered out from the piles. Stacks threatened to collapse and slip to the floor.
Alexander turned to look a sneaky eye towards Hephaestion, who by now had his hand over his mouth to keep from laughing.
"I know exactly where everything is this way." Alexander said defensely.
"I haven't said a word about your mess." Hephaestion giggled.
