Summary- Maria Ross and Riza Hawkeye prepare themselves for a training duel- with a "small" catch.
Author's Note: I will bring more of my stories sooner. I just have writer's block.
The sun was shining down on the training field for the Amestrian military. All alchemists, shooters, and other combaters were asleep- except for two. Maria Ross and Riza Hawkeye were standing behind each other on the field, blindfolded in full uniform with German Helmets. Neither moved an inch until Riza said, "Are you ready to prove yourself as a sharpshooter, 2nd lieutenant?" Maria replied in return, "Let me show you how my skills have improved, 1st lieutenant." Then, they began to march ten paces and draw pistols at each other. Blindfolded and armed, they were about to shoot at each other, waiting to see who launches the first bullet. Just then, Maria heard a booming sound and began to move from the left before the bullet came crashing on her. Even while blindfolded, Maria smirked, "Well, it looks like the Hawk's Eye of the Ishval Civil War made her first miss." Riza angrily scowled for this since she never misses her mark. Then, Maria shot back at Riza and she dodge from the bullet. Riza responds to Maria, "You called that sharpshooting, soldier?" Both continue to fire at each other and began to tire them out. While stopping, the girls lifted their blindfolds to see how much damage they did. But so far, they did none. Later, after a few more shots, Maria finally hit Riza, causing her pain. Maria raced to Riza and said, "Are you alright, 1st Lt. Hawkeye?" Riza replied by saying, "It's okay, soldier. The bullets are fake anyway. Still, you did great, 2nd Lt. Ross." Maria and Riza saluted each other and walk together side by side, still blindfolded. As they return to the base, Maria speaks to Riza in confusion, "Sir, shouldn't we take off the blindfolds before we return to the base?" "No, soldier," Riza replied. "I think we should pretend that our eyes got injured. That way, everyone will know we got hurt during training." Then, they let a small giggle and walked right back to base.
