AN: I'll get this down so you don't have to face my inner review!whore or anything else. Reviews are adored. T, as in not for little kids. Mention of sex, and non-graphic (by FF rating standards, not the hardcore lemons on M) description of it. I don't own Uwasa no Midori-kun.

Honestly, this fandom/manga deserves more recognition. Hence the getting-over-it fic, despite the fact that my OTP is Tsukasa/Midori (^^") and it owns a part of my soul. Written to Forever Young (Youth Group), Love The Way You Lie (Eminem ft. Rihanna), and Leave Me Alone (Hanna Pakarinen), a fairly relevant playlist. I lucked out. :)

So, a thereupatic one-shot (though nothing ever went that far) that I wrote a while ago for the manga Uwasa no Midori-kun. Because I remember what it's like to be screwed over by a jackass who called himself a friend.

Of Measuring Worth and Hopeful Absolutions
Crystallic

You were sitting there, and I couldn't help but feel amazed at the sight of you. How long had it been? Nearly six years, maybe even more… but there you were, bright and strong and beautiful and back, back there with me, if only for a few nights.

That night meant the world to me. It was so wonderfully unique and new and so utterly you that I knew that even when you were gone, I'd always remember it. And that's what they say, don't they? You'll always remember your first.

I just wonder – who was your first? I know it wasn't me, and I know that you've slept with so many other girls before. I won't be different, will I? Oh well. I'll just have to make sure that you remember me anyways, as something more than one of the countless girls you've pressed down into sand, beds, grass, benches… something infinitely better than an easy teenage girl sweating and moaning and blushing beneath you.

You know what? You may have said I was just a silly little country girl, but I'm more than that. I know I'm more than that, and I believe I'm more than that. That's why I'm here, at the gates of Aoba 3rd, so far away from home. Because I'm going to beat you, and I'm going to show you just how much more of a person I am than you first thought.

I'll show you, Tsukasa Hino.

I'll show the world.
