"Elizabeth."

Someone was calling her name.

"Elizabeth." the soft voice said again, and it sounded vaguely familiar.

She was sitting at the end of a wharf, and it was a foggy morning. Slowly she turned around to see a man she never thought she would see again. He came and sat down next to her, letting his feet dangle over the side of the wharf.

"Jack." Elizabeth's voice cracked slightly as she said his name.

"Hi luv." Jack said quietly.

"I thought you were-"

'Dead?" Jack finished. "Ah, but you forgot something very important."

Elizabeth looked confused. "What?"

"I'm Captain Jack Sparrow."

Elizabeth resisted the overwhelming urge to hug him.

"I know I said I wouldn't be sorry. But I am, Jack. I shouldn't have left you there. I didn't even give you the chance to do the right thing."

Jack met her gaze. "Its ok. You did what was best for everyone, I wouldn't expect anything less from you, luv."

"How did you…?" Elizabeth wrinkled her eyebrows, and wondered why she hadnt thought to ask this earlier.

"Escape a gruesome and very ugly death? I think that's a question for another time, Elizabeth. We have more important things to discuss." He smiled slightly. "Do you still have my compass?"

Elizabeth nodded silently as she grabbed it out of her coat pocket, and handed it to him.

"Have you finally accepted what you want the most, or is it still broken?" Jack asked, smirking.

"Why does it always point to you?" she asked, frustration evident in her voice.

"Darling, that's because you cant resist me."

"It- It must be broken." Elizabeth concluded to herself, more than anything.

"Its not." Jack said, his dark eyes holding her gaze heavily.

"I know." Elizabeth answered, and Jack leaned in closer to her, his lips meeting hers…..

"ELIZABETH."

Elizabeth woke up with a start, covered with cold sweat. She was still shaking. Sitting up slightly she saw a tired Will in front of her. His expression was pained.

"You were crying in your sleep." he told her softly, so not to wake the rest of the crew in Tia Dalma's hut.

"Are you ok?" he asked.

Elizabeth nodded. "I'm fine. Thankyou." She could still see the hint of betrayal in Will's eyes, and she couldn't deal with it now.

He nodded, and retreated back to where he was sleeping next to her. She lay back down and turned over, more tears rolling from her tired eyes. Will heard the silent sobs escape her, as she cryed herself to sleep again.

Ok, well I hoped you liked it! Its just a quick oneshot that came to me the other night. I'm sorry that it had to be a dream – how awful, but my muse was inspiring me…so I just wrote. Pleeeeease review!
