A/N- This is a random idea I had. It takes place after last part in CoC. It's short, especially for a oneshot… I hope you all like it!!! It is a bit sad, though…
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Gregor got Lizzie and Boots to start getting ready to leave. He felt sick. Central Park seemed to be mocking him; whispering that he was so close… he just had to push back the rock…
Gregor sighed and resisted the desire to run forward and ruffled his hair. It had been such a strange week. It seemed that he had only killed the Bane yesterday. Of course, that wasn't true; Gregor had been in the Overland by yesterday.
"Come on, Boots. You too, Lizzie," he muttered quietly. It was if Lizzie could tell what he felt. She solemnly got up and got Boots to follow her.
Gregor felt guilty. He hadn't meant to make them limited around him. They should, and could, be open around him. At least, he felt that they should be.
What had happened? A few moments ago he had been acted happy; even though he felt fire roaring inside him. He was a twelve year old boy, not a man in the Underland. Well, that's what he used to be; now he was a part of the Underland and everyone who inhabited the land. That was the reason Gregor felt empty now: He had left nearly everyone he cared for down there.
Gregor grimaced, and glanced around the busy streets. No one seemed to care that there was a "boy" walking hand-in-hand with his two little sisters. No one even appeared to know they were there.
Boots was getting impatient; she started blabbering. Gregor guessed that before she had just thought that this was a game. Who could be quiet the longest?
Gregor felt a small smile spread across his lips. Yes, who could be? Him or Luxa? Which one of them would crack first? Who would fall into a void as empty as Waterway first? From what Gregor could tell, he had lost.
"Bat, bat…" he heard Boots sing softly, yet happily. Lizzie seemed to be near tears, but she was holding strong. Ripred want Gregor to protect her, he knew that, but he didn't know how. He was helpless.
After walking with the cold wind blistering their faces, it felt good to be inside. Of course, the building wasn't warmer; it could only defend them from the blustery weather.
Gregor couldn't tell if he was in a trance or just wasn't functioning properly. Either way, he could hazily tell he was walking over to the elevator. A few buttons were pushed in, and the three kids piled in.
They waited… and waited…. Finally, BEEP! Along with that beep, something rose within Gregor. He didn't know what it was; it could be fury, or revenge. Maybe even a sense of life. Gregor thought he had more of an idea what it was though, as he walked into his family apartment.
"Gregor? Are you feeling okay?"
"I feel as if I died along with leaving the Underland."
That's right, Gregor felt black humor.
OooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooA/N- I know that Gregor was OOC, and that there wasn't much talking, but this was a random idea. What did you expect?
