Tell Me

Disclaimer: I do not own Sweeney Todd of the associated characters.

Who was she, lying to him? Oh, he knew it, and he knew it well. Nellie was never a good liar. Not since he had met her.

She was avoiding him more every day. Still bringing up means, but not saying a word. It was rare for her to even say 'Hello'. Something was definitely wrong he would watch her from his shop. She was always chatting with the customers, so why not him? Told him not to worry, but what else could he do? No he wasn't worrying, he told himself.

When he had no customers, he would watch. When she was closing up shop, he would watch. Whenever she was in sight. It had been a month and a half. The baker, once so eager to please him and get his attention, wasn't even trying now. Women were strange. But not his Lucy. Not that he could remember. Only her perfectness mattered, not the downfalls.

Mrs. Lovett was a bloody wonder. Sweeney would never admit it, not even to himself, but he had somewhat liked the attention she gave him. She was the only one in all of London- and probably the world- who understood him, was on the same wavelength as him. He sighed and looked down, seeing her walk up the stairs. Lunch.

She came in and the shop bell rang through the the room. He noted the fact that her eyes were red, probably from crying. She turned to leave in silence, but he grabbed her small arm and held it in his iron grip.

"Mr. T..?"

"Eleanor Lovett."

"Yes?" She croaked quietly.

"Tell me." He growled.

"Well... It all started when-"

Author's Note: Thanks so much for reading! I'll leave the end up to your imagination.
