Tall tailess and the female tailess who smells of ravens have gone on a hunt. Wolf lopes through the forest alone. It is dusk during the moon in which the trees are No-Leaf, enveloped in the Bright Wet Cold. Running simply for the sheer joy of it was what Wolf was doing now. His paws flew over the frozen ground, soundlessly, one beat. Two. Suddenly, Wolf comes to an abrupt halt, and his paws go skidding across a sheet of ice. His furry ears prick forward. His nose twitches nervously. Wolf was on edge. He had the feeling that something was about to happen, something that would change his life forever. The trees above him swayed, their branches creaking as if they knew, too. A scent drifted to him on the breeze. It was the smell of a pack-sister, but yet was not a pack-sister. It was a wolf, but not just any wolf. Wolf himself trotted closer, his nose following the trail easily. He is about to round a bend in the path through the trees when he sees. Above him, on a ridge of rocky snow, stands a female wolf. Her coat is a white as the snow drifting around her. She gazes down at Wolf with piercing green eyes, her demeanor calm, yet curious at the same time. He lopes lazily up the ridge where she stands to come to a stop besides her. She raises her head to him, sniffing warily. He leans toward her, his gray coat brushing her white one. She is surprised, her green eyes lit with wonder. A feeling is flooding Wolf, growing into a pulsing thing that floods him all the way to the tip of his claws. He nuzzles the white wolf gently under her chin. She returns the gesture, and the two wolves circle each other, doing the dance of the forest. Gray and white blend together, swirling in a crazed frenzy. The snow falls faster, growing into a blizzard and filling the identical row of pawprints. Panting, the two creatures stop and collapse into the fresh flakes. Glittering yellow meets green as four eyes shimmer in the night. Their stares are marked with starry eyes. It can be only one thing. Love.
