Dan Humphrey has just placed the key in the keyhole of his tiny Manhattan apartment door when a hand reaches from behind and covers his mouth, "Quiet or you are dead." It takes him a short while to recognize the threatening voice. "Why, hello there Mr. Chuck Bass!" he mumbles under the soft hand.
"Open the fucking door," he growls. Dan obeys and soon after he is pinned to the back of the door by his tormentor. Chuck is scowling as he presses him harder than before. He has an arm on the poor guy's neck obliging him to breathe through choked heaves.
He manages to grin though, causing Chuck to tighten the grip. Dan is now twisting his frail body in an effort to escape. It is useless, Chuck is way stronger. "How dare you, how fucking dare you say I don't have a heart?"
"Oh...did...you... rea...d...mah...boo...k?" Chuck loosens his arm, just a tiny bit, so the other can speak, although still trapped. "Much better," Dan mocks, dripping in irony, "I am sorry I hurt your feelings. My humble apologies. But you should know by now, I only tell the truth."
"Huh? Fucking bastard!" Chuck looses it. "From Manhattan to the Hamptons, everyone is talking, they call me Chuckie Heartless behind my back, and all because of that back stabbing book of yours."
Dan pouts, "Aww". Chuck grabs him by the collar of his shirt, his eyes are bloodshot, Dan is honestly fearing for his life now. "I don't have a heart," Chuck growls in a husky voice, half an inch away from Dan's left ear, "because I fucking gave it to you. I trusted you would take care of it and you betrayed the most precious thing I never gave anyone. I should kill you for doing this to me!"
Dan slowly turns his face to Chuck. "I know, but you never asked me what I did with it. You fucking little fool, I took it and hid it behind my own heart because I knew it would be safe there. All this time, I fed your heart with love, my undying love for you."
Chuck softens as Dan embraces him dearly. Their lips finally meet after an endless drought, and in their chests they can hear the two hearts beat, now pounding together as one.
Thank you!
